I’m just subscription fatigued. That’s why it lots a star. It’s a cheap subscription, but considering what it does, it seems like it should be a single purchase. There are so many other options out there that I just can’t add to my growing list of subscriptions. So I decided to not subscribe. I paid for it. Not much, but that was the agreement. It’s easier to use than other apps. Recorded a bunch of songs on it. But then all of a sudden in mid project my access is taken away—not cool. I understand the need to increase revenue, but it should be done with in-app purchases or only get enhancements if you subscribe, but at very least a fair warning my access was dwindling would have been nice. Not cool! Imagine my surprise upon finding out my one time purchase had been changed to a monthly subscription application and I only had a certain number of uses left. Suffice to say the kind and beautifully assembled song and dance I received from Mr. Smith in customer support was nothing short of hyperbole at its finest and far too long for me to include here. They want more of my money and didn’t consider offering a refund. Instead they offered a few more uses as a gift. I say skip it. It seems as though they hate customers who originally bought their product. Due to their poor business model they decided to just steal customers money and say we need more. And thank you for your honest reaction to one of the biggest updates and changes we’ve ever made with the release of StudioMini 3. We released StudioMini back in 2009, 16 years ago. For a single payment of less than a coffee drink, our users got to use StudioMini, but also received free updates, free improvements & fixes, and free new features, for well over a decade. Over time unfortunately it became more and more clear that this was just not sustainable financially. I'm not talking about making a living creating software for our fellow musicians, I'm talking about being able to support it at all. Before StudioMini 3, we hadn't been able to release an update for many years because of this reason. We never stopped hearing from our users around the world about what they would like added. You can export all your Projects and WAV files to any storage connected through Apple's Files (Dropbox, Google Drive etc.). You don't have to be a paying customer to export, this is always available and free, your music will never be locked in. For years i’ve recorded my ideas in iPhone Notes, but often wish I could’ve done it with a metronome. I do have GarageBand loaded, and it’s wonderful, but it’s overkill when you just wanna get ideas down quickly and easily. This app fills the bill. Nothing fancy, but it’s incredibly easy to record a guitar track with a built-in drum loop and add three additional tracks (vocal, harmony, bass) if I need to. One thing I discovered… I couldn’t use my Bluetooth headphones because of the latency issue, so I had to use my wired earphones (glad I still had a set) bought a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter to connect. Small issue easily fixed. It is truly one of a kind; created by two brilliant friends that share a passion for music, and most importantly, a genuine desire to create a platform for other’s to create, record, and mix a studio-quality production. This app truly gives you the tools, *at your fingertips*, to take what’s been in your mind, and turn it into a masterpiece.
