## What is StudioMini XL?

StudioMini XL is a powerful yet easy to use recording studio for your iPad with pro quality audio, pro audio loops & much more!

- PRO AUDIO QUALITY: Records in 44.1 kHz / 16 bit pro quality audio, the crystal clear and uncompressed standard.
- WAV AUDIO FILES: Records mono or stereo WAV audio files, the universally used Linear PCM format. Recorded files and loops will work on any computer with any audio software.
- MULTITRACKING: Multitrack record on 8 tracks.
- INPUT MONITORING: Listen to audio input in real time through StudioMini XL with the lowest latency your device can handle.
- AUDIO LOOPS: Additional loops track with 78 built-in professionally produced loops spanning 13 styles of music. Includes BPM display.
- METRONOME: Part of the loops track, and sampled from a classic metronome to sound like the real thing.
- MIXDOWN: Create final mixes in the WAV or AAC formats. Download to your computer, or email right from your iPad.
- SYNC: Download your files to your computer using Wi-Fi Sync or iTunes File Sharing.
- IMPORT: Add files into StudioMini XL from your Music Library, or through iTunes File Sharing and then import into StudioMini XL tracks.
- NOTES: Each song comes with a notepad for keeping track of notes, lyrics, chord progressions etc.
- SOLO, MUTE, RECORD ENABLE BUTTONS: Available for each track, just like on professional hardware mixers.
- STATUS LEDS: Simulated LEDs lights on top of each track indicate whether the track has a recording on it, to help prevent recording over good takes.
- TUNER: Pitch reference tuner.
- COUNT-IN: Sets up the tempo before recording starts to keep you in perfect time.
- MULTIPLE SONG FILES: Record and save as many songs as your device can fit.

Way too long.

**Developer response:** You're absolutely right, it is too long, we agree. Behind the scenes, our small indie team has been focused on a major overhaul of StudioMini for iPhone, which involves rebuilding the audio engine to include effects and other improvements. Our plan is to bring a comparable major update to StudioMini for iPad once that foundation is fully in place. 

We now release updates for iPhone regularly, and our goal is to follow the same approach for iPad as the app catches up with the new audio engine. We appreciate your patience! If you'd like to email us at help@otreus.com we'll follow up as soon as we have news.

### 1/5 — Does this app work with Bluetooth Headphones? Apparently NOT!

Without a headphone connection, this app is trash.  On an iPad you use Bluetooth for headphones or you’re SOOL.  I’m looking for a refund here since the app does not seem aware of Bluetooth for output.  I can’t believe you guy are still selling this version and have not updated the app in four years!

This is a great little app. A cheap and cheerful notepad to get ideas down when the muse strikes in a field! But if it only had panning so you could try out mix ideas! Next upgrade……PANPOTS!!!!!!!!!!

This would be a great $.99 app. As is, it’s barely better than iOS voice memos. At least voice memos has a timeline.
Rumors of punch and the like appear to be just that. Email option dead in the water. For this kind of money you can do FAR better.
Please refund $9.00 of my investment and we both win.

Cant even figure out how to record.  Bought it but no manual. So right now useless

I have been using Studio Mini Mix XL for grabbing ideas for original songs. The drum loops are so helpful to set the groove and the ease to send to my computer and edit with Audacity make the app a powerful portable studio.

I’m loving this app it’s definitely a lifesaver. I write children’s stories and was paying to record in professional studios.  A friend introduced me to this app and I haven’t looked back. I still can’t believe all of this is on one app. It’s The Best!!!!!

StudioMini is a great app for quick recordings.
All so is great for writers block. Backing drums are extremely well put together.
I wish the app would be updated with editing features and possibly punch in punch out.
For a no frills app it's still the easiest multi track recording app out there.
