The community looks dead. I have the user manual but it is too hard for me to understand as I am a novice in these areas. YouTube is of little help. Is this app still capable of doing what it says? ### 1/5 — Don’t buy it If you have a PC running windows 10 or later *2023-12-27, version 5.123* Foolishly I just wasted $15 on an app that no longer does what it used to, seems like Apple's constant updates have rendered it useless even though Bayrischzell will appear as VST window your Daw will not allow you to select anything, such a shame. ### 1/5 — Well, another one goes the way of the dodo… *2023-11-16* Was ok back in the day. The current version does not work with the current iOS. Read the forum on the developer’s website. ### 2/5 — Would be great if it worked. *2023-05-20* This is the only option I’ve found to route audio and midi from iPad to iMac but it crashes whenever there is an audio app running and you switch apps to something else. I’d pay 50 bucks or more if this would just work or the dev put more work into it. Giving two stars because it works flawlessly, if I don’t switch apps after opening it. It *has* to do with some interaction with the audio apps and studiomux as I can change other apps all day and go back to a working studiomux if there are no audio applications. example, NodeBeat and nave both cause it to crash, but exit those and try restarting studiomux then switching apps: it doesn’t crash. Also, it crashes immediately when you switch apps meaning I think it isn’t handling app suspension correctly. Please dev, I beg you to fix this issue 🙏🙏 ### 1/5 — Great when it ran. IOS 16 crashes app. *2023-04-15* I loved this app when it ran but recently with newer iOS 16 updates, studiomux drivers stop working. Plugin detects the iPad but no audio. I have older iPads that still work which leads me to the conclusion that development has stalled on this app since iOS 15 or so. If you have an old iPad it works well but Audio Units are not compatible with older iPads. IAA audio as well as some IAA audio apps lose their support as well. I recommend any Mac user use IDAM and windows users should use midimittr to get their iPad music onto a daw. ### 1/5 — Vorerst Finger weg! *2023-02-26* Ist auf diesem Stand nicht mehr benutzbar. Informationen von seiten des Entwicklers gleich null. ### 2/5 — Works when running in foreground but quits when running in background *2023-02-04* I wanted the midi mix function for Lemur to enable all 8 midi ports. Works well when running on the side or split screen but I need all the iPad surface for my Lemur templates. To keep studiomux running I must surrender 20% of my iPad work surface. I wish they had the midi mix version still available because it was much lighter and would run better in the background and I would not have to surrender so much of my screen surface which I need for Lemur. I would have given 4 or 5 stars otherwise. ### 1/5 — Broken App, be careful! *2023-01-07* This app was once crucial to my workflow. Somehow the developers decided to stop updating it and it does not work on iOS16 at all. I doubt they will ever fix it as they went unresponsive. This app was recomendded to me to use my iPad in my daw. I downloaded the mobile app (which has absolutely zero tutorial and is quite a confusing interface, but fine). And then it says to download an app for the computer. The link of their website takes me to a German version of the App Store with no ability to download in the US. ::sigh:: Goodbye $10! ### 1/5 — This app is dead *2022-11-14, version 5.123* No longer works and developer seems to have moved on with his life. ### 2/5 — It got worse *2022-06-29* I love the general concept of this app and really like using touchable form the same developer. I was using the last TestFlight beta of studiomux for several performances and it worked fine, although I had to use certain workarounds. Now the TestFlight beta stopped and I had to downgrade to an earlier version that is available on the AppStore. This version seems to be unusable to me. There are glitches when switching apps on my iPad, random crackles in the audio and I‘ve had the app crash on me several times. It’s too unstable for performances. I‘d love to see the developer continue working on this app. ### 1/5 — Very frustrating —- you’ve been warned *2022-06-24* The obvious. This was designed for Ableton. All the examples are Ableton. This was designed for Mac computers. The examples are for Apple products. This was designed seven years ago. If you try to search for tutorials or tips they will be from seven years ago. So I’ve wasted an hour on this beast. No luck yet. I’ve made some progress but it’s been very glitchy. I guess I’m going to give up. Total waste of money. Waste of time. How can I fix this noise? I tried to change input levels on studiomux but white noise stay on audio. I try to send clear geoshred audio signal to ableton live on Windows ### 5/5 — Amazing App *2022-07-18* This is a great app and I’m going to rate it at five stars because of this unique function of being able to use iOS plugins inside Ableton on windows, however, there is one issue. When I switch iOS instruments without closing all apps this will result in ableton crashing and everything gets wonky until all apps are rebooted. Would be great if this is something that can be fixed! Nicht mehr lange und das neue studiomux sollte fertig sein. Ich bin begeistert! Alte Bewertung: Ich habe die App schon sehr lange und leider hat sie nie so wie beworben funktioniert. Ich würde mir extrem wünschen, wenn die Entwicklung weiter gehen würde und ich mein iPad Pro mit meiner daw verwenden könnte um mehrer Apps gleichzeitig aufzunehmen Mit dem iPad Air funktioniert es super. Wenn ich mein iPhone 6s anschließe und Plugins in ableton verwende gibt es extreme audio glitches. Leider stimmt es, dass die iOS Geräte sehr warm werden und die Batterie Ladung weniger wird trotz Anbindung zum pc. Ich hoffe sehr auf ein baldiges Update.
