StudioTax is in my opinion the best, thank you guys and girls at BHOK It for creating this software. StudioTax is a little rough around the edges but as long as they keep developing it I will keep using this and nothing else. This is the first time I’ve actually enjoyed and understood filing my taxes. Is filing free on iOS? Filing costs on Windows. ### 1/5 — Very disappointed *2024-03-08* This program does not allow one to put amounts in for employment expenses. Line 22900. By the time you find this out you will have easily wasted an hour or two. ### 2/5 — 2023 Version Only *2024-04-17, version 5.3.0* Do not use this app for iOS. There are fields that are inaccessible to the interface yet required to complete the form. Use Windows version instead. In terms of the app itself it felt kind of unfinished and objects were crammed and overlapping on my iPhone 13 mini. Script was cut off and I could not read it fully which creates some moment of guessing or mistakes. At least 60% of the time end up with the wrong selection. One way of doing this is to be able to enlarge the screen. This process would also help in other areas of the form(s), where selection is required. Thank you. ### 4/5 — Excellent software… IOS version still a work in progress *2024-04-19, version 5.3.0* I’ve used studio tax for quite a few years now, nice clean sensible piece of software. Will definitely continue to do so. This year I got the new IOS version instead of the Mac version and there were a few rough edges (unintuitive interface behaviour here and there and I lost edits a couple of times because I forgot to manually save the return…). All worked out in the end and I bet the IOS version will be as slick as the desktop/laptop versions in years to com. Thanks as always StudioTax team! ### 4/5 — Great, but one suggestion *2024-04-19, version 5.3.0* I’ve been using studio tax desktop version multiple times, very easy to use. 2023 tax was my first time to use App version, and I liked app as much as I did desktop, but I found one major difference in App one from the desktop one. Desktop shows all the forms that are applicable to my tax automatically in my file, but App shows only the basic forms, and I have to manually add the applicable forms into my file. I think this is quite important and necessary function as complicated tax requires all kinds of forms accordingly. I hope this will be improved for the 2024 version.
