## What is Study Harbors?

Study Harbors is a private course workspace for turning source material into an organized plan for learning.

PLAN BY COURSE
Create separate course workspaces with codes, exam dates, weekly time targets, and color identity. Break the work into learning objectives, then track urgency, priority, progress, and confidence without mixing unrelated classes together.

KEEP EVIDENCE WITH THE CLAIM
Capture a source title, locator, source type, summary, connection, and tags in one evidence note. Notes stay linked to their course so the context behind an idea remains available when it is time to review or write.

PRACTICE RETRIEVAL
Build questions from your own material and review them in Recall Studio. Reveal the source-backed answer, grade the effort, and let the on-device interval engine schedule the next review. Upcoming prompts remain visible so the queue is understandable rather than hidden.

RUN FOCUSED STUDY BLOCKS
Choose a course, name the intended result, and start the built-in focus timer. Afterward, record what changed. Seven-day charts and course allocation show where study time actually went compared with each weekly target.

OWN THE RECORD
Export a readable study packet, a focus-session CSV, or a complete JSON backup. Restore a backup when needed. Study Harbors requires no account and includes no ads or third-party analytics. Courses, objectives, evidence, recall schedules, and focus sessions stay on the device unless you deliberately share an export.

Study Harbors is an organization and learning-practice tool. It does not complete assignments, guarantee outcomes, or replace guidance from an instructor.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-08-23

Study Harbors 1.4 is a ground-up course workspace built around traceable evidence and deliberate study.

- Organize courses with exam dates and weekly time targets.
- Track objectives by status, urgency, priority, and confidence.
- Capture evidence notes with source titles, locators, summaries, connections, and tags.
- Build source-linked recall prompts with transparent review dates.
- Run focus blocks with intentions, reflections, seven-day rhythm, and course allocation.
- Export a study packet, focus CSV, or complete JSON backup and restore it locally.
- Review the learning-method sources and privacy details directly in the app.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-23

Study Harbors now tracks the time you actually study, reminds you to review, and keeps everything safe with one-tap backup.

New Focus tab: log a study session with its subject and length, then see your minutes for today and the week, a seven-day bar chart, a breakdown of time by subject, and a focus streak. Your full session history is editable, and you can export it to CSV.

New daily review reminder: turn on a single local notification at the time you choose to keep your review streak alive. It is scheduled entirely on your device.

New Backup & Restore: save everything — study blocks, flashcards, and your focus log — into one shareable JSON file, then paste it back in to restore on the same or a new device.

As always, everything stays on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking, and no internet required.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-19

What's New

Version 1.2 (Build 5)

Study Harbors now actually helps you remember what you study - not just plan it.

NEW: Spaced-repetition flashcards
- A full review deck with a flip-and-grade study session. Tap "Show answer," then rate your recall: Again, Hard, Good, or Easy.
- Scheduling is powered by the SM-2 algorithm (SuperMemo 2) - the proven math behind Anki and Quizlet. Cards you know well come back later; cards you miss come back sooner. Each grade button previews exactly how far out it will schedule the card.
- All scheduling runs on your device. No account, no cloud, no internet.

NEW: Deck stats, streaks, and a Today banner
- See how many cards are due and new today, how many you've reviewed, your day streak, and how much of the deck you've learned.
- A "cards to review" banner on the Today tab takes you straight into a session whenever cards are waiting.

NEW: Card manager and deck export
- Add, edit, search, reset, or delete cards by subject in one place.
- Export your deck as plain text or CSV from the Export tab - the CSV keeps the full SM-2 schedule (due date, ease factor, interval) so your progress travels with your cards.

Also in this release
- The Today dashboard's review metric now reflects the real number of cards due to review.
- Ten ready-to-study sample cards across Biology, History, Math, Writing, and Exam subjects so the review loop works from the first launch. Reset the samples anytime from the Info tab.

Still 100% private: no account, no ads, no tracking, no permissions requested. One-time purchase.
