Danke, Klemens ### 5/5 — A very helpful study tool kind of like gamified flashcards *2024-03-12* I currently use Study Snacks to practice language learning in Chinese and it’s very helpful for me to use its custom features to study my vocabulary lists. The app helps me practice when I have 5 minutes here or there on any of my devices, including Vision Pro, iPad, and iPhone. The 3D effect of the bubbles makes the memorization and practicing more fun. It’s like a mini-game. ### 4/5 — Great creative way to study language, but some bugs *2024-02-25* Really nice graphical and fun way to study language like flashcards that are sub-broken down into characters. Works well for Chinese (I do full manual loading) The only thing I cannot figure out is how to share lists between devices. They don’t seem to sync up so if I make a list on an iPad, it doesn’t show up on my iPhone or MacBook. Maybe I am missing something. Additionally, when manually creating a list, it is not possible to use the arrow keys to change text in a text box. You can only delete or replace characters on the right side of the text box. I find this frustrating. Also if the words are English characters, the first character on the left of the textbox is forced to be a capital letter, but I don’t want all my words to look like Proper Nouns. This is awful. Please fix this. I am not going. I am deleting the app and I’m never gonna use it again until they fix this. This is important for me to hear the correct German pronunciations in order for me to learn the words. And this app is absolutely no help. I’m deleting this app so I’m so deleting this app and going to off to find another language app that’s gonna do better than this one. Bye-bye never gonna use this again until this gets fixed please fix this ASAP. I can’t learn German if it’s not pronouncing the German pronunciation. Do not like this definitely just like it. ### 1/5 — Great idea, has usability blockers *2025-05-15* I downloaded this to give it a try (I love testing fun new language learning apps), but I repeatedly ran into the issue of the bubbles getting "caught" at the top of my screen (due to a smaller screen size?). As a result, I couldn't see what was in the bubbles and often couldn't tap on the bubbles to complete words. This happened across numerous levels. Once is annoying, but after the first few sets, it started happening on EVERY level. Very disappointed **Developer response:** Hi, If you go to the Store and click on “Change”, you will find the “General Knowledge” Shop, which also includes multiple Geography, Science and History lists. When clicking on that “Change” button, you will also shops to learn 9 different languages. If you reach out via mail, I can send you a video of how it works. Dann macht doch die App kostenpflichtig. Und 3 Tage kostenlos reicht nicht aus da man ja nicht jeden Tag benutzen kann . Leider ist die App nichts für meine Kinder. Schade Design ist ansprechend . Die App ist kostenlos, damit man sie mal im vollen Funktionsumfang ausprobieren kann, bevor man sich zum Kauf entscheidet. Aber auch in der kostenlosen Version kann man sehr viel machen - vor allem weiterhin ohne Einschränkungen Listen üben. Auch eigene Listen können weiterhin erstellt, viele auch kostenlos aus der Galerie geladen werden. Ich entwickle die App alleine, hab aber durch das Erstellen der Listen, Server Kosten, Übersetzungen, Visuelles und Musik-Design teilweise einmalige und teilweise laufende Kosten. Mit dem Kauf der Vollversion unterstützt man mich dabei, diese Kosten abzubezahlen. Und vielleicht bleibt irgendwann so viel über, das es einen Teil meines Lebensunterhalts zahlt, das ist zumindest der Traum. Ich hab aber volles Verständnis wenn man das Geld nicht dafür ausgeben will oder kann, vor allem bei der aktuellen wirtschaftlichen Lage. Hoffe ich konnte dir meine Hintergründe jetzt etwas besser erklären! I do this and Duolingo to learn French and I’ve come really far, because this teaches terms and things faster and Duolingo teaches like conversations, so I find the combo really helpful. I honestly think you could also do this on its own and gain a lot of vocab in another language. Also it’s got a lot of other cool things to study.
