About the Developer
Hapatus is the creative outlet for solo projects of Antti Tiihonen. He is one of the masterminds behind Legend of Grimrock -series of dungeon crawling RPGs where he created tons of puzzles, levels, game design, audio and graphics as a warmup excercise for Stuffo ;). Really great puzzle game with some very clever mechanics. Level of difficulty is in the sweet spot not too easy and not too hard. And those retro graphics are awesome!

This game has a unique puzzle system, where you place boxes in different locations to collect hard to reach ‘atoms’ and then exit the level. The types of boxes are plain, spring-loaded, propellor beam, switch-operated gates, and clones. Understanding the precise logical rules of how this puzzle system works is the key to solving the more difficult levels. Sometimes a new level will feel impossible at first, but gradually you will find the way to solve it. I also liked the retro graphics and ethereal music which create a nice relaxing ambience. This game is a masterclass in game design! Thank you for making it:-)

Very fun, challenging puzzles with multiple paths through the levels. If you get stuck, you have other options to play. That said, I have been able to eventually solve even the puzzles that stumped me at first. I only have 2 levels left, and they only aren’t done yet because I don’t want the game to end. Great game, clever and mentally stimulating, without needing a bunch of over the top flashy filler to keep my attention. Well done.

One of the best puzzle games I’ve ever played.  So so many times, I’d say to myself, “there is no way this works, this is not possible”.  Then, sometime later, I’d find a way.  This is a very challenging and rewarding game.

Spending time with this game is in turns exhilarating, confounding, bewildering and deeply rewarding. Each puzzle is designed with a clarity of purpose that reveals itself the more you sit and stare at it.  But you can also find solutions through trial and error, which brings a sense of experimentation which can give you a sense of ownership. Sure, I’ve put it down a few times then come back to it with a fresh pair of eyes and this is fine; there’s a difficulty here which lets you know it’s not your usual dross. This is puzzle design by someone who knows what they’re doing. The visuals and music are also ace.

Don't let the graphics be the determining factor. This game is all about the puzzles. You move the robot around, picking up and placing items, in order to reach destinations (atoms, and/or the exit). It seems simple when described... but it's not. These are very well thought out puzzles. There is no timer, no penalties, no coins to buy, no ads, and no rush. Just the puzzles. I like that.  I also like that this game has a 'back one step' feature. If you get yourself stuck, you do not have to start over on that level. This game also has gamepad support. The screen controls are fine. I just prefer a gamepad. Some of these puzzles, when first viewed, can look simplistic or impossible. When you finally solve a particularly challenging one, you find yourself thinking how clever this really is. You have to try it. Don't look at videos with solutions to see what this is about. It will ruin it for you. If you like a great puzzler, get this. One suggestion for the developer: Offer a free 'demo' version with a few levels so more people will try this.
