It lists “styling ideas” but that’s just links to style books, etc. I thought it would take items from your inventory and put them together for you based off of what you are looking for. Not you build your own and save it. Maybe that’s an app I can create and use lol **Developer response:** Thanks for writing! It’s solid and works as advertised. There’s a lot of features that are not as useful. This app needs integration with AI for outfits, looks, and packing. Seems like they are missing a huge opportunity to charge more $ - because people like me would happily pay a subscription for AI. ### 3/5 — Needs an update sooner than later *2025-02-19, version 8.3* It’s 2025, needs a dark mode. It’s not possible to rotate items when making an outfit.. It would look so cool if the border became black and the clothes became white in the logo ### 2/5 — It’s okay *2024-06-11* I liked it at first. Kind of a pain to setup at first. App isn’t aging well. Feels outdated. Looks and feels like an app my great great grandma would have used in the early 1900s. The company behind this app only pushes updates for bugs brought on by OS updates. No updates with innovated ideas. For instances, this app has been around for years and no one at the company has thought about adding a feature to flip the clothing items so that we can upload pictures of the front and back of the item. Have inputted every single day. So useful for wardrobe rotation, analytics for understanding cost of wear and what clothes need to be recycled and for having ideas on days when you have none. Also awesome for identifying gaps in the wardrobe, seasonal combinations and creating packing lists for when travelling. ### 3/5 — Can do much better *2024-02-15* The app is nice and has a lot of features I don’t particularly use, as does its job when it comes to cataloging all of your wardrobe. But it annoys me that it relies way too much on Apple’s HIG instead of being more authentic and having its own visual signature. Makes me feel using a native iOS app which is not so nice. But apart from that, another thing that gets me is the fact the app does not warn you that a certain outfit has already been made. Also apparently there’s no way to see which outfits a single clothing is used on Got in touch through Instagram with the app official account, but didn’t get any attention… ### 4/5 — Starkes Tool mit leichten Schwächen *2024-01-09* Ideal für jeden, der mehr Übersicht in seinem Kleiderschrank gewinnen und neue Styles aus den vorhandenen Kleidungsstücken kombinieren möchte. ich habe in kurzer Zeit so viele verschiedene Kombinationsmöglichkeiten neu gefunden, dass ich in Zukunft sicherlich deutlich weniger neue Kleidungsstücke benötige, deshalb sich die App für mich ganz schnell rechnet. Abzüge gibt es für mich nur für das Freistellungstool, da gibt es heutzutage sicherlich elegantere Lösungen.Ich habe irgendwann frustriert aufgehört mein eigenen Sachen zu fotografieren und habe anstelle Katalogbilder verwendet - das geht Auch sehr gut. I hope it’s not abandoned! *2023-12-03* It’s the best app for sorting clothes in your closet. I do wish it had iCloud support, I would pay monthly for this feature. It could also be merged into one app and then choose the icon for women and men or whatever icon you want! It hasn’t been updated in a few years, so I really hope the developer hasn’t abandoned it. We're actively working on features for our next major release. ### 4/5 — Only one thing I need *2023-04-04* I love it, my girlfriend loves it too she likes seeing my whole wardrobe so we can plan matching outfits. That being said the only thing I wish I could do is move items to different categories/sections if I change my mind about how I want to categorize it. Let Mac Users have some fun! There is no legit reason not allowing Mac users to install the app. Lets be honest here, the app is really basic. Code isn’t that complex at all. There is almost no work needed to enable Mac installation. Adding Items via Mac would be so much faster. Another point is the iCloud sync. There is no “real” iCloud sync. It’s just a phone backup. Kinda false advertisement here. I saw your app for men and purchased although the reviews are a mixed bag. One thing I was expecting to see are guides for men’s clothing in the app for men’s clothing. However almost all of the articles and guides are for women and written on dresses, women’s clothing, etc. can you please provide content for men’s clothing in the men’s clothing app. I’m not planning on buying any dresses and heels. If you can update your content guides for men, I will update my review. ### 1/5 — I want my money back! *2022-02-17* Terrible ! Adding clothes is more effort than it is worth. It is 2022 the devs should be training ML models so the process of adding photos to your closest is a breeze on a user. Instead this app is stuck on a 2015 technology stack and relies on gaslighting their users via “Tutorials” into thinking that they are the problem. Instead of trying to mask their inability or insubordinate to improving the app beyond stability on the latest iPadOS or iOS release, the devs should prioritize improving the user experience. After reading all the “Tutorials”(actually it’s their blog posts) it’s obvious they’ve haven’t made any significant changes to the app that makes the process of getting clothes in any easier. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! **Developer response:** We're sorry you had a bad experience with the app - can you please email us at support@stylebookapp.com so we can understand what happened here? ### 1/5 — Not at all worth it, a scam and waste of time *2021-11-06* I literally wish I could sue them for the waste of time it was to try and get this dumb app to work. I followed all of the directions for uploading the pictures but it doesn’t work. If you want to erase the background you’re supposed to follow certain steps, followed them, but it still doesn’t erase the background. You’d need a professional photography studio and hours of time to make this app work. Used contrasting color bed sheets as my background, and no matter how smooth I made it the dumb software would still pick up the wrinkles in the sheet as part of the clothes. Tried multiple different things and even used a photography light to try to take pictures. My photos literally looked like the example they showed of how to properly take pictures. By the way after that the SHUFFLE created all the styles , I want the app to put them all in the calendar. By that way I do not need to spend much time to create all those outfits! When one of my family members reminded me of it and said I should create an app, I discovered that Stylebook existed quietly in the background. This was super helpful as I went through all my clothes, took inventory, threw out stuff i didn’t want, and was able to keep track of stuff I forgot about. Also helpful as I need to pack for trips and figure out what I need.
