### 3/5 — works but not consistently

*2026-06-08, version 4.1*

Lately only about half the alerts actually come through before frontline. the last week or so almost every frontline alert beats sub alert by a few seconds. when it does work it is helpful at getting jobs. if if was more than $5 I’d probably cancel

### 2/5 — Not as good as it used to be

*2026-05-19, version 4.1*

I used to always be able to snatch up jobs with SubAlert but ever since January of this year it doesn’t seem to alert of the jobs quick enough (Frontline updated and shows the jobs quicker now but their app still sucks). I saw a response that SubAlert checks for jobs every 60 seconds but that’s not enough anymore. Checking for jobs more frequently would help in my opinion. Every 15 seconds would be much better.

### 4/5 — Superior!

*2026-05-17, version 4.1*

SubAlert helps me to fill my Frontline calendar!

### 3/5 — Not reliable

*2026-04-12, version 4.1*

Not always getting the alerts before Frontline app. That’s very disappointing!

### 4/5 — It’s very difficult to secure jobs because they disappear quickly. When I try to accept assignments,

*2026-03-04, version 4.1*

It’s very difficult to secure jobs because they disappear quickly. When I try to accept assignments, I’m told to use Frontline only. I’m paying to be active, so I expected more direct access to available work. I hope the process can be improved

### 2/5 — Frontline is free, subalert is not

*2026-03-01, version 4.1*

Why does subalert charge money while Frontline is free and recommended by the school district?

### 4/5 — Just wish the calendar was different

*2026-02-06, version 4.1*

I like to use this instead of logging into my frontline so I wish they had a calendar view of all my scheduled jobs and available days rather than only having a list

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-02-04, version 4.1*

This app is helpful with snagging jobs!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2026-02-04, version 4.1*

SubAlert never disappoints. This app is “must have” for expanding sub job options. I’ve told several mutual substitute teachers about it!

### 3/5 — Don’t get many jobs!

*2026-01-27, version 4.1*

Not working like it used to. It’s not faster than text messages.

### 2/5 — Is the Frontline app (free) better?

*2026-01-21, version 4.1*

I have noticed this school year the Frontline app giving me faster notices than SubAlert. If this keeps up I’ll be dumping SubAlert as the developers have.

I’m assuming the developers are no longer supporting this app. Going 6 years without any improvements???? In tech time that’s equivalent to 60 human years. I await your meaningless automated reply.

### 2/5 — Slow Notifications

*2026-01-19, version 4.1*

The text alerts pop up. It’s frustrating that I immediately tap the link and the job is already taken in less than two seconds.

### 5/5 — Substitute Teacher

*2026-01-13, version 4.1*

This app is amazing! I would never be able to pick up any jobs in my school districts if I was not subscribed to sub alert.

### 4/5 — It’s ok

*2026-01-12, version 4.1*

I know they respond to people. So last semester I got jobs faster. Now I get them at the same time, or later. $6.95 is not bad, but I mean it’s not what it used to be either.

### 5/5 — Extremely useful

*2026-01-07, version 4.1*

I get notified of jobs in a timely manner, and I love that it thinks to my calendar

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No alerts

*2026-05-08, version 4.1*

I signed up but barely get alerted now after paying

### 1/5 — Why bother sometimes

*2026-04-21, version 4.1*

Not any faster than frontline these days

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2026-01-29, version 4.1*

This app used to be good. Most of the time I don’t get alerts anymore. Frontline beats this app. By the time I get to a job it’s already gone. I will be canceling my subscription.

### 1/5 — Can’t get the job

*2026-01-13, version 4.1*

Half the time I click a job the moment comes in the job is already taken

### 1/5 — Ok

*2026-01-08, version 4.1*

All too often jobs are instantly gone before you have a chance to respond!!! Also error messages come up blaming Absence Management? Then job no longer available??? Jobulator was 10 times more reliable!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work like it used to

*2025-12-05, version 4.1*

I feel like the last couple of months the app hasn’t been working like it used to. I always get an error message and pretty often now Frontline alerts me faster than the actual sub alert app.

### 1/5 — Amazing I love it

*2025-10-25, version 4.1*

Amazing

### 1/5 — Worthless and redundant

*2025-10-04, version 4.1*

This app is trash and should be reported as a scam. Half of the time when I try to accept jobs on the app, I get a message saying that there’s an error with the sub alert system and to just use Frontline. But by that time the job is already gone. I’ve also done a test using two of my phones and Frontline actually gets notifications before Subalert. This app is so riddled with technical difficulties and lack of notifications that I wish I could charge this back. There is no point to using an app that half of the time tells you to use the free app, or just totally failed to provide notifications. I absolutely hate this app.

### 1/5 — Alerts are not coming quickly enough.

*2025-09-17, version 4.1*

Every time I get alert , job is already gone. the app no longer gives me an edge. Why pay?

### 1/5 — Bugs and Glitches and Errors

*2025-09-17, version 4.1*

I will often go to accept a sub job, but then the SubAlert app will crash. It then directs me to go to Frontline to accept the job there; however, by the time I go to Frontline, the job will be gone. Instances like this make me wonder why I even pay for SubAlert if it is just going to direct me to Frontline.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This app has made my life so much easier

*2026-08-05, version 4.1*

I am a mother of three and I substitute as a primary income. With my busy life I is so difficult to me to keep checking constantly for the job opportunities in frontline . One teacher recommended me this app and I downloaded it and started to pay for the subscription. It was a life saver because I get the notifications on my phone I just have to accept them. I wish this application stays, I don’t know how I will be able to book assignments when this app no longer works.

### 5/5 — Notifications for substitute teachers

*2026-08-03, version 4.1*

Amazing. I love this app!

### 5/5 — Great app and worth it

*2026-06-01, version 4.1*

This app is the best for getting sub teaching assignments.

### 5/5 — Good but I usually can’t book the jobs fast enough!

*2026-05-12, version 4.1*

Almost every time, when I immediately book a job, it’s already instantly taken!

I don’t know what to do about this! It’s frustrating!

Otherwise, all good!

Sincerely,

Deborah Olsen

### 5/5 — SubAlert

*2026-04-30, version 4.1*

SubAlert is a treasure I just found out about it a couple months ago, but I’ve been subbing since 2024 and everybody’s been gay keeping on me. I love this app.

### 5/5 — Teacher aide

*2026-04-24, version 4.1*

Good

### 5/5 — Rating

*2026-04-14, version 4.1*

4/5

### 5/5 — Faster than Frontline

*2026-03-03, version 4.1*

If you want to have a chance to book the sub jobs, this app is totally worth it! It seems like 90% of the time when I click on a Frontline notification to try to book a job it’s already gone. When I click on SubAlert, it not only tells me exactly what the job is so I know not to click on it if it’s not what I want, I can click on it and book it directly without any other steps. I’m successful more often than not! Even though I didn’t want to pay for an additional app, the small monthly fee is worth it!

### 5/5 — Best Sub Teacher Job Alert App

*2026-02-20, version 4.1*

This sub-teacher job alert app constantly scans for jobs in your preferred school district(s) and respective school(s) and immediately notifies you within one second. I instantly receive a text message, a phone call, and an email. I normally, and quickly, click on the text message and book the job right then and there through the app within three seconds. If you want jobs, get this app! It is so worth the low monthly cost as it pays for itself 100 over with all the sub jobs you’ll get!

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2026-02-09, version 4.1*

So far the app has helped me quite a great deal.
