I’m a big fan of Galaxy on Fire 2, so I was hoping for something similar. Subdivision Infinity is a much smaller scale game, mainly focused around shooting. This it does very well. I was using a PS4 controller, and it was a lot of fun tackling the missions. The graphics are also great and on a par or better than GOF2. The missions themselves were quite samey, mostly involving shooting a few waves of enemy ships. Perhaps the most interesting involved first taking out a set of shield generators that then enabled you to take on the gun turrets of the space station, all while being periodically attacked by enemy ships. As the game gets tougher you have to upgrade your ship and weapons, which requires money, gear crates and minerals. For these you have to do mining (separate from the missions) and free-hunt. It was a bit of a grind at times, but OK. It helps that each day you get free drops of money and crates, and there are daily and goal-based rewards So, not a GOF2 killer, but an enjoyable game for space-shooter fans. Although it’s 6 years old, it still plays very well and I didn’t notice any glitches. For all intents and inquires this is based on the Galaxy on Fire iOS engine and that’s not a bad thing. The game flows really well but as others have mentioned it could have a bigger map area with a little more diversity. The other thing I noticed (possible question for the devs here) was what came first, the background music for this or the background music for the Quest 2 game Arizona Sunshine? Full, realistic controls would be also be great addition to this game (simulation style with yaw, full barrel rolls etc…, devs please take note). Incredible graphics & great dog fights make this app what it is; a decent, no IAP, quality space sim. Tip: if you think this game is too hard…: Fully upgrade starter ship & weapons & complete first set of missions (Alpha Tyche). Once this is complete, you will get the option of a “free run”. Rinse & repeat until you get enough currency to buy the ships/weapons you need ;) The same can be done in all systems. Looking forward to updates & possibly multiplayer but will be more than happy to see the latter in a sequel. Would be great to see it in native display size on new devices as it’s a solid game. Keinerlei Abwechslung. ### 2/5 — Frustrating to play on Apple TV *2019-01-26* I like the game, but there are several things you can ONLY do on the iPad app, mostly relating to upgrades and changing preferences while using a MFI game controller. I emailed the developer but have had no response, hence the low rating. Playing on Apple TV, you cannot: 1) Upgrade anything but cargo space due to a bad implementation of what you are able to select before getting to the “Upgrade” button 2) Change controller setting, specifically decreasing the sensitivity of the joystick, which is necessary for playing with a controller. You can navigate to the slider but I have not found buttons that change the sensitivity. **Developer response:** Hello! We’ll fix the bug in the future update.
