Good layout and nice to be able to input the class codes with the names and have the course name be the most prominent. Great way to keep track of homework and due dates. Wishes: adding in terms so I can put all my subjects in the term. I like this program for the most part, but it is still very limited. I want to be able to sort my homework, have a calendar in my iCal, not just on the app, and I want to be able to copy and paste homework as I have the same assignments in every module. Next trimester, if this is still as is, I will have to type in over 400 assignments which is a huge waste of time for anyone. Please keep updating the app to make it as useful as possible! I would love to see the ability to add winter/summer breaks along with reading week for college students. The app is also missing an export calendar link to apple calendar etc. Also the MacBook widgets don’t work and come up blank. The most important feature is the ability to add exams/tests in their own tab other than the assignments tab. Maybe some of these features do exist and I just couldn’t locate them. Other than the missing features the app is great and really helps organize and track school assignments and classes. ### 3/5 — Unfinished *2024-09-18, version 1.7* I like the app but I feel there are some things that could be added. Right now it feels slightly unfinished. For example: -adding tests and exams -allowing to group assignments into modules/sections -Allowing to add grades and weights to assignments -ability to create "profiles" for professors to store their email, department, office numbers, etc. and so they can be saved for multiple classes -Ability to set the priority of assignments (high, med, low) Seems like it has tons of potential. ### 3/5 — Great, but has some functional and UI issues *2024-08-27, version 1.6.2* Great design and easy to use. Only issue is setitng due dates for assignments - clicking outside of the box twice saves the assignment details but not due date and time. This means I usually have to add the due date and time mutliple times. A "done" or "save" button that makes sure that happens is needed. Or a code fix to make sure it saves when clicked out of. ### 4/5 — Good but *2024-05-16, version 1.5.6* Can’t show classes on calendar so it can cooperate with other apps And there are other important functions missing ### 3/5 — Great idea, buggy app *2024-03-05* This would be amazing if it worked well. I set up one class and since there is no getting started guide or documentation, I did my best. I added a weight for a grade (not sure still what it even means) but now I can no longer select it to edit it. First, my college use Conversion Chat to change from percentage to GPA, so my GPA is everytime incorrect, a possibility to add the conversion chart to the app will be a really useful features. Also to group class by semester or quarter will be really useful. Here are some notable issues: 1. Notifications just don’t work. I have yet to receive an upcoming class alert on any of my devices despite all of them having the option and permission fully enabled. 2. Live activities don’t end without first opening the app. This causes the “time remaining” field to actually count up after a class ends. To make live activities a fully viable feature, they should dismiss when a class ends. I understand that the live activities not starting without opening the app is a limitation of ActivityKit. 3. Setting up grades is tedious. Certain changes such as credit amount don’t actually save when you’re done editing a class. 4. The Mac app crashes often when creating new classes, and the class information dialog appears off screen. Additionally, the minimum window size is very big and cannot be feasibly used split screen with another app. I’m don’t regret my purchase of Subjects, but these issues make it so I can’t fully recommend it to others. I’m a dance educator and wanted to use this app to organize my lesson plans for my classes. Unfortunately the app just isn’t functional. A very typical experience with the app involves spending the time typing out a lesson plan just to close the app window and everything I just entered is gone. Everything is clear and easy to use. Now I find after installing it I have to pay to use it. It really isn't worth paying for, other apps have the same functions and are free. ### 1/5 — Subscription needed to be worth it *2022-12-18* I downloaded this app expecting to be able to add a whole schedule and unfortunately you can only add up to three for free. Also the alerts aren’t free. The only thing it has is being able to sync your calendar into the app, but there’s other free apps with more capabilities. I suggest you make it up to 10 free subjects and have notifications for free. Might as well put a price tag on the app instead of having someone download it for free and wasting their time setting it all for nothing. You still need to manual review what homework is required - Especially is planning out the entire semester. Thus far, I haven’t seen the grade tracking (showing current % etc, only the element where I can state how much each assignment is work, but not a GPA tracker or Grade average etc, from results). ### 2/5 — Used to love it now I’m upset *2023-02-02* I used to love this app it kept me very organized. I would keep track of my homework and it’s due dates. Though not the perfect app it was pretty good for the year subscription. As I finished my homework today I went to check it off on the app. When I click in on it it shows it signed me out and I can’t even sign back in with my Apple ID. It just force shuts it off and Dosent even sign me in or restore my subjects and homework. Now I’m gonna have to find a new app and re log all my homework and due dates plus past homework and grades that have already been completed bcuz this app is being buggy. Unfortunately for me, this app is missing essential features - while my notifications are turned on, badges don’t appear on the app so I am not able to track the number of assignments that are outstanding.
