But right now, it’s not that useful for me. It’s required to add a picture for each subscription. it would be nice to have a default or no image option so I don’t have to manually download logo files for each subscription service I want to add. On a similar note, perhaps having an in-app browser to search and download/save logo files for each subscription would be a nice feature. Additionally, not sure what the legalities are of this, but perhaps adding some common subscription services to start with during the on boarding that would include the logo files would help users get started easily with the app. Again, I was happy to see this on a promo, and I look forward to future updates! 🙂 **Developer response:** Hey Sean, thanks for downloading 99subs! That's a great feedback, thank you. You're totally right, we have received very similar feedback from several other users and realized that forcing people to upload pictures was never a good idea. We will switch to a default icon for all custom subscriptions in the next version of 99subs. Regarding the onboarding - that's an excellent idea, I can see that you know apps quite well 🙂 I am more than sure that we will add this to our onboarding flow. You cannot add subs that are not within the d/base The iCloud function does not function The app is totally useless I would suggest to potential users - don’t waste your money on an app like this It’s not even worth 1 star ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-11-27* I paid for a year for this app. Don’t waste your money. You can’t put in your subscriptions only the ones they have listed. Then it won’t let you create it just stays on the create page. **Developer response:** Hey, thanks for using our app. Sorry for the inconvenience, I think there was a little misunderstanding about custom subscription creation. If the custom subscription stays on the “Create” page, you need to add an image/icon for this new item. If you do not upload an icon, or whatever other image, you won’t be able to create it. We though that ot was logical, but ir seems that it’s really not the most convenient way. We will fix that in the near future. ### 1/5 — Apparently I can’t report a problem or get help… *2024-04-20* Wanted to LOVE this but won’t let me create a subscription that is not in the list. That's a shame, I'm sorry for the trouble with our app. On the other hand, I know exactly what was the issue - in the current version of our app we require uploading a picture to all custom subscription services. If you have created one and now try to save it without uploading a picture, that simply won't happen. We thought it would be nice, as our users, including you, might want to have a correct icon/logo for all of their custom subscriptions, but now it just looks like extra work. We will no longer require uploading a picture with the next version of our app. For now, please try creating a custom subscription once again, but this time upload a picture. Anyone who actually paid for this app needs to be closely monitored! ### 1/5 — Repeats the same app over and over *2024-04-20* I started by creating a reminder for my Disney plus account with zero issues then I created one for Prime video but when I select creat it creates a duplicate Disney Plus. App doesn’t work as it’s supposed to and not worth it. **Developer response:** Hey, thanks for downloading 99subs! Sorry for the trouble, you and several other users have reported this problem - that is definitely a bug and we found the root cause of it. We will fix this bug in the upcoming app version. Until then, you can delete duplicated subscriptions by going to "View all", tapping on three dots at the top-right corner of each subscription and selecting "Delete". But once again, thanks for reporting that to us! ### 2/5 — Glitch adding new subscriptions, no shopping category *2024-04-21* Added one non-listed subscription. Went fine. Tried to add another & it just recreated the initial added subscription despite different name and logo. Now can’t delete the incorrect subscription which I tried to add 3 times, so now there are 4 of the same initial added subscription. Also, no shopping category??? What about amazon, walmart+, Costco, Sams, etc…… **Developer response:** Hey, thanks for downloading 99subs! That's quite strange. I have been trying to recreate your described issue, but I was unable to. Anyway, our developer will look into that, maybe he will be able to identify the reason behind this bug. Now, if you tap on "View all" on your app's home screen, you will find a detailed list of your current subscriptions. This is the place where you can delete unnecessary ones by tapping on three dots in the corner of each subscription. Regarding the shopping category - thanks for noticing that. We were unaware that shopping as subscription services were a thing in the US, except the Amazon of course (they certainly aren't here in Europe)... We will add those in the nearest future. Take care! ### 2/5 — Nice Interface But Thoughtless Execution *2024-04-20* No flexibility to edit date of of notification. If you purchased a subscription in 2015, that’s the date you’re stuck with to be notified? What??? How stupid. I should set whichever hour, day, month, or year I want to be notified! **Developer response:** Hey, thanks for downloading 99subs! Sorry for the trouble, I have just stumbled upon your review. I got confused myself and went to double-check that. There is definitely a way to set the reminder for any year/month/day/hour you want. As a test, I have set a subscription start date on 2021 March 7 and the reminder for it on 2024 May 5, and it worked just fine. If the date selector doesn't allow you to tap on it, or acts strange in any way, please send us a screenshot or a screen recording of that at wiseapps@proton.me - we'll take a look. I understand what you mean, therefore, 99subs has: a) a lifetime option that is not a subscription, but a one-time purchase b) an option to use the app for free, with a fairly limited functionality Subscription-based plans are in case you're not sure if you want to go for the lifetime access right-away, plus we made it very easy to add 99subs to your tracked subscriptions' list, so you won't forget about it.  Anyway, great feedback, thanks! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — So, so helpful *2025-01-14* This app has saved me so much money - from reminding me to cancel free trials, to giving me a renewal notification a day before so I can change my plan. It helps me budget, and the 1 year plan is worth it because I can add more subscriptions than they provide. The app runs very smooth, I haven't had any issues with it. Overall I really love this app and it is immensly helpful to me and how I function day to day. I don’t know how I totally Missed it before. Now that I can add anything on here, this app is as perfect for tracking everything. Regarding the ability to add an image to the custom entries, I personally love that idea. Would be cool if you gave us the the option to use your default icon or upload our own. Either way this app Definitely recommend! Thank you!🙏🏼 🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹 One thing that would make this better is the ability to make custom entries. The app has a good selection of accounts to choose from but no option to create your own. No Shudder, No Google photos, No Amazon Prime photos, etc. Obviously between apps and all the other Subscription services out there, it is a lot to ask for them to be able to cover them all, but at least give us the option to create our own. Otherwise this app is pointless because we won’t be able to accurately track all our subscription. Easy to add popular subscriptions from their library (although you have to put in the amounts et cetera) it’s almost as easy to add new ones not in their library, using your photos for the image/logo. I think it will be very useful, time will tell, but it is certainly easy to set up and use. **Developer response:** Hey, thanks for downloading 99subs! Take care! ### 4/5 — Nice *2025-03-11* Overall app I think the app is very good. It gets one star off due to a recent problem. I found as I tried to set this up I duplicated an entry. I found no way to delete the duplicate entry. There is no help section and going to the website site is a joke. **Developer response:** Hey, thanks for downloading our app! You should see the "View all" line on your main screen. If you tap on it, you will go to another screen where you can delete duplicate items. I hope that helps. ### 4/5 — Needs basic features. *2024-06-08* The app's sleek and user-friendly. But it's missing a simple feature for descriptions. For instance, if I add my Bank of America subscription, it doesn't let me clarify that it's for a credit card. Plus, I can't add notes such as 'cancel subscription in three months'. ### 4/5 — Useful *2024-06-04* I didn’t realize how many subscriptions I had even though I had them in my budget. However I was only tracking the monthly fees and not all of the yearly subs. So I was shocked when I got them all in one place. I like the simplicity of the app. It has one job and does it fairly well. I don’t like having to find an icon for each sub. It would be better if there was a bank of generic icons to choose from if one doesn’t want to search for icons. It’s also a little confusing when entering an subscription that lasts for an extended amount of time (such as a year) but is billed monthly. It’s not clear in the summary of a subscription if it’s a monthly subscription or a yearly (or 6 months, whatever) subscription that is charged monthly. But overall it’s a pretty good app and I will continue to use it. ### 4/5 — Ty creator for explaining my issue… *2024-05-03* I did not realize you needed to upload a picture for a custom subscription. Once I did this app works well, but I guess knowing that would’ve helped! Appreciate the creator posting that in a response to me. If you tap on "Add more+", you will see a "Create" button in the top-right corner. That button allows you to create your own custom entries. The only lack of functionality right now is that a picture must be uploaded for all custom subscriptions. We thought that it would be nice, because you can upload relevant pictures for all services that are not on our list, but in reality that's just extra work. We will soon release a new version with a default subscription icon that will be automatically uploaded to all custom entries. However, there needs to have a way to create a new subscription entry without limiting to only uploading images from photo library for the icon.
