### 3/5 — Constant errors

*2026-08-24, version 3.12.0*

Nearly everyday the app gives me error messages like “An error occurred
Something went wrong, and we couldn't load this page.” SUPER ANNOYING.

### 4/5 — Stop the Gangster Tyrants

*2026-08-23, version 3.12.0*

The American Experiment is a failure for the bottom 90%. Some invest Online betting services. Like casinos the Corporate House wins.
If you work for the 1000s of enterprises in the US your rights if any are controlled by the slavery terms of the corporate NDA.

If you are due to loose your Medicaid you will need to work even if you’re a paraplegic Veteran or woman or Autistic Adult.

“Work sets you free” if you’re poor Auschwitz sets you free. If your female the state owns your uterus.

USA #1 in democratic oppression by government and the corporations.

### 5/5 — Goodtimes

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

### 4/5 — Apparently

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

I’m supposed to move my main focus here according to some. The jury is still out on this.

### 5/5 — So much nicer than short-form social media

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

I am enjoying Substack a lot and notice I feel calmer and brighter reading full pieces someone’s thoughtfully written.

### 5/5 — Fair.

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

Fair plus one.

### 5/5 — COAP

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

A well formulated news source which gives detailed information on regional and municipal governance in the Cowichan Valley. It’s an essential reference for residents who feel they only lend power to their respective councils.

### 3/5 — Can’t clear notifications

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

There needs to be a way to better clear notifications, sometimes no matter how many articles I open and refresh the app, the little red dot doesn’t move. Please fox as I don’t want to remove the amount of subscriptions because I can’t clear the feed

### 5/5 — Our country our constitution keeps us free.

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

Always the facts that’s what keeps me here.

### 5/5 — TRUTH

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

Digital Town Square

### 2/5 — Increasingly frustrating

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

I subscribe to publications because I want an easy way to find and read their posts. Instead, the current app makes it difficult to find my subscriptions, mixes everything into an Inbox I can’t properly filter or clean up, and sends me to the web for basic subscription management. The interface seems increasingly designed around discovery and social features rather than the publications I’ve actually chosen to follow.

It doesn’t even let me filter my inbox for unread posts

### 5/5 — Top notch algorithm

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

My feed speaks to me directly.

### 5/5 — Disabled

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

Keep up the good work with facts not ideology and propaganda that the GOP does constantly. Let’s take our country back. USA 🙏🏻🌟

### 5/5 — Better than tv news

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

The best place to learn about politics and history.

### 5/5 — Loving your natural hair

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

That you for educating us about greasing our hair it’s important ! I love the article!

### 5/5 — Better than other social medias

*2026-08-21*

I agree that this app genuinely treats me better than other social medias. By treating better I dont mean like making me laugh on brainrot things and ruining my mental health by giving fake dopamine. This app is good for people who love reading and exploring different things. And honestly i totally loved this app althoug my account has been suspended i dont know why nevertheless its a great app love to be on it⭐️

### 2/5 — Feed is filled with garbage

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

I like some of the people publishing here a lot but my god is this app garbage. The feed is filled with posts from people you’ve never heard of instead of your subscriptions, and even if you go to the new paid subscriptions tab you don’t see most of what you are subscribed to. What is even the point of paying for a subscription if Substack refuses to send them to you? And free subscriptions? - Good lick ever unsubscribing from any. It just doesn’t work. Unsubscribe a hundred times and every time you check your subscriptions, they are all back.

### 5/5 — Absolute

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

Substack has been great for me to slice through the news and the propaganda and I appreciate that so much

### 3/5 — Comments not working

*2026-08-21, version 3.12.0*

Ok app but comments section is cludgy recently

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — account recovery sucks

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

why is account recovery so hard. i hate the fact that it makes you create a new account every time you try to sign in..

### 1/5 — This app sucks

*2026-08-18, version 3.12.0*

I have to search for the videos I want. I don’t see a way to have it just show the videos from one source, even though I’ve only subscribed to one source. It repeats articles I’ve already passed. I’m tempted to stick to youtube even with the commercials

### 1/5 — Bad user experience

*2026-08-16, version 3.11.1*

The user experience is bad in same cases. I can’t figure out what all my subscriptions are. It only shows 8 and I have a lot more than 8.
Support is unresponsive.

Why can’t I unsubscribe from emails. Why can only prefer app? And it still sends me emails.

This app is not user friendly.

### 1/5 — Transfer substack to iPhone 17

*2026-08-14, version 3.11.1*

This has been an impossible task and tech support has been horrible. Why is it so hard to reinstall substack?

### 1/5 — Asma❤️

*2026-08-10, version 3.10.1*

I absolutely love this app! It’s so helpful and makes reading much easier. I use it all the time and highly recommend it. 🤍

### 1/5 — Way too many UX issues when viewing posts and trying to comment.

*2026-08-09, version 3.10.1*

If I try to comment, I tap to get into the text box and I’m shoved out of the article.

I go to give ❤️ on an article, if I got there by scrolling down it works, bit if I scroll up, the button acts like there is an invisible object in front of it.

Those are the two massive issues.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t give .25 star

*2026-08-09, version 3.10.1*

Substack is a censorship site sold as creative outlet. Say something the algorithm red flags and get no visibility. It’s obvious

### 1/5 — A community of hateful bigots

*2026-08-07, version 3.10.1*

The app itself functions alright. But the community in this app are the most hateful bigoted ignorant scared and fear mongering group I have seen on any platform. The app should be burned to the ground.

### 1/5 — The Shame of Substack

*2026-08-05, version 3.10.1*

A shameful and poorly designed app. Ive rarely seen social media with such an awkward layout, numerous botched update rollouts, a rancid community etc. Open this app and you’ll see some of the most horrible anti-social content, as well as the most embarrassing influencer grifting on the internet. A disgraceful usurper among kingly social media apps.

### 1/5 — Data harvesting?

*2026-08-03, version 3.10.0*

The app asks for age verification via biometric data and government ID despite not being required to by law, and also despite my account having paid subscriptions via a debit card. Not to mention also I’ve only been accessing parenting related content, so by my activity I am clearly identifiable as being over 16 years old. The unnecessary collection of data seems suspect.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — My love for Substack

*2026-08-24, version 3.12.0*

I think for a Gen-z personal i love the fact that this is better than twitter. I actually read the post and learn from others. It’s so resourceful.

### 5/5 — Honest review

*2026-08-23, version 3.12.0*

I honestly loved this app , the moment i opened the first article I read I completely fell in-love with it. This app gives me life lesson and change perspective in life also inspired me to write about my thoughts freely and sharing it to others made me feel somehow relieved that I’m not alone. (it also improves my vocabulary).

### 5/5 — Good writing & independent!

*2026-08-23, version 3.12.0*

Nice to have some of our favorite writers and people on here making great things for us to read and spark conversation from (or projects!)

### 5/5 — Outstanding resource

*2026-08-23, version 3.12.0*

Always great posts & articles, often very in depth research that you don’t find elsewhere. Unfortunately in our society we see a lot of filtered stories full of half-truths, but here authors and researchers post their real life experiences without fear of being edited and losing content. Great resource for those who really want to know what’s going on in the world and how to better live their lives.

### 5/5 — Great platform

*2026-08-23, version 3.12.0*

I have only had Stack for 24 hours. but, I already have found it to be useful.
I am not sure where it fits in social media , as I don’t have any other platforms that I am on, but so far it seems to be a good way to see other users information that I can apply it
 in my life

### 5/5 — Focus on the details

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

Clearly focusing on steps to undermine the factual truth taken by this administration. Will Republicans even notice?

### 5/5 — Prejudiced Mom

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

My heart is full as I read this and see how God has blessed us with more than we deserve.
Wes, you are our pride and joy but I have to say that when your sister Gena was born, she made our hearts more full of joy that we didn’t think possible.
Looking forward to more of your wonderful writings.

### 5/5 — Thank you Adam!

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

Adam is an upright man. Thank you for your honesty integrity and leadership.

### 5/5 — Great News

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

I haven’t been on Substack very long but, so far I have really enjoyed it. I like the articles that are of interest and they are just the right length for me to keep attention span.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-08-22, version 3.12.0*

I use this app mostly for Philosphy and information i’m interested in, i really recommend this App to anyone who doomscroll’s on social media all day. If your going to be on your phone or device at least make it productive
