It can seem a bit complex at times, so you’ll want to use it a few times before you get the hang of it. A pity that if you add a Guest player, you can’t delete them, or even rename them (eg if you misspelt their name). **Developer response:** thanks for the note. Ich hätte gerne, dass bei Wechseln (die immer alle 1:24 Minuten erfolgen sollen) ein Signal/Wecker ertönt. Es wäre zB sinnvoll einen Button mit Signal bei Periodenwechsel einzubauen. Oder aber den Wecker so einstellbar zu machen, dass die Mindestdauer auch unter 2 Min einstellbar ist. Das ist derzeit nicht möglich. ### 3/5 — Some limitations *2025-05-14* I’m ironing the app for U8 soccer. It’s 7 a side games with one child playing goalie for one half and changing with another child at half time. The app doesn’t allow me to keep the same child on as Goalie for a half and change them at half time. It rather includes GK as a sub position or else keeps the same player as GK for the duration of the whole game. I’ve ended up managing my substitutions manually with pen and paper 🤷‍♀️ **Developer response:** To do so, you can choose the "assigned position only" option and set the two children as goalie then they will rotate at half time. I would like to ask for a feature enhancement instead of the time showing the increments at the bottom counting up can we get it to count down? For instance if the half has 20 minute halves with 4 minutes subs I wanted to show the first sub at 16 minutes the next sub at 12 minutes and so on. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, we will look into it. Lin was very responsive to my inquiry and was able to help me sort out my error and get everything corrected as we finished out our season. I have been using SubTime for 4+ years and have always had great service. At grassroots 5-a-side in UK, if a team goes 4 goals down they can add an extra player. At 5 goals down, yet another player. 7 players max. If you decrease the deficit then you take players off. It’s be immensely useful to be able to change from 5 to 6 to 7 a side during the game. My players are free to look at the iPad at any stage during the game. I have found that this builds trust with the players and gets rid of any playing time anxiety within my Adhoc approach. This app has worked well for the teams I am involved with over the past 4 years. The app is also very well supported by the developer, and it’s great to see how the sporting community are supporting it. Usually staying around the second half of the game. I’ve cleared ample space in my iPad , closed all apps and had this be the only app running and same results. For the past two games the game auto stopped at the 40 min mark. The first time it happened I was not holding my phone and assumed it was human error, but the second time I was holding my phone and the game stopped and a message came up “ the game auto stopped at 40 minutes because you are on a trial version “ I am on a monthly subscription . Now it seems that most of my season games and stats are missing. What a disappointment, I paid for the subscription to keep track of each players time on field, attendance and some stats. I have nothing to show the parents now when questioned about fair play and nothing to help me determine starting lineup and extra field time for the players that are short. I don’t need all the stats, just need to track play time so all boys get a fair run. Just started the app for this season to find it’s no longer free (if game over 40min). $30 a year is just having a lend, even $3mth for a season is expensive. They could have sold the app for $5-10 to lots of people, guess they want to focus on a smaller customer base. Perhaps they should have a Lite and Pro version to cater for different users. Looks like it’s back to using my watch while I search for another app. ### 1/5 — Does not share subscription *2023-09-08, version 6.10.4* This is falsely advertised as family sharing enabled and it most certainly does not share the subscription with family. The latest version upgrades have taken away the key component of this application: calculating the fair distribution of play time across the team. If you’ve just downloaded the app and wonder why you can’t use it and the YouTube videos look different, this is why. One feature I believe needs to be addressed is access management. I have just read another user review about the power play rule in UK kids football, and I’d like to add that is a problem for us too as representing game time accurately when able to add extra players on to the pitch is not possible. Another improvement that could be made is with statistics, I have noticed that (in football) a goal isn’t recorded as a shot because I had a player with 1 goal and zero shots, whereas it would make more sense to automatically record a shot for the player that scored a goal. To build on that, it would be good if you could distinguish shots as either on or off target. ### 5/5 — I could not manage a Rigby Union game with out this app *2025-10-05* Amazing app. Makes games so much easy to mange. Substituting is easy and scoring is easy. Also parents can stay up to date with the score. This is important in Rugby as the scores can be high and without a scoreboard is tricky to know.
