SUBTL - AI Captions & Subtitles for Video Most social video is watched with the sound off. If your message only lives in the audio, you're invisible to most of your audience. SUBTL fixes that automatically: import any clip and our AI turns spoken words into clean, perfectly-timed captions in seconds. No manual typing, no timestamping, no editing experience required. Built for creators, businesses, and anyone who wants their videos actually watched on mute, in another language, or by someone who can't hear at all. Just import, and go. IMPROVED • Exports start up to 3× faster. • Leave the app mid-export and it picks up again when you come back. • Custom caption colours now apply to every style, and the preview updates as you pick. • Cut Silences preview now matches your final export. • Undo and redo are more reliable. FIXED • A crash when exporting long or high-resolution videos. • Recent edits could be lost after renaming or reopening a project. • Cancel now stops an export straight away, and a cancelled export no longer uses up a free video. ### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-17 Translate your captions Turn any video's captions into English in one tap, and switch back anytime. Timing follows the speaker sentence by sentence. Included with SUBTL Pro. Fix words right where they are Tap a word and edit it in place. The caption on your video updates as you type, and Return jumps to the next word, so correcting a transcript is quick. Highlight, Word Style, Timing, Merge and Split sit right above the keyboard. Pick your export quality Choose 1080p, 2K or 4K before you export. Go smaller when you're on mobile data, or keep full 4K for the sharpest result. Better-looking exports Videos now export with HEVC, which gives smaller files at the same quality. HDR footage stays HDR, and your clip's frame rate is kept up to 60fps. Redeem a code Got a SUBTL code? Enter it under Account and it's applied right away. Plus a sign-out confirmation, so you don't sign out by accident. ### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-08 Pick your caption style right away Finish an upload and the style picker now opens on its own, so you can set the look before you start editing. Know where you stand before you export The upload screen shows your current plan and tells you upfront whether a video will carry a watermark. No more surprises at export time. Clearer Pro Every Pro screen now lists the same three things you get: no watermark, unlimited exports, and new styles and features first. Buttons show the price, and any launch offer, before you tap.
