## What is Subvoca?

Subvoca prepares you for the show you're about to watch.

We pull the real subtitles of your next episode, find the words you don't know yet, and turn them into a tiny 5-minute deck. Walk in ready to follow every line — no pausing, no rewinding, no "wait, what did they just say?".

How it works
1. Pick a show or film from your library.
2. Subvoca compares the script to your vocabulary and builds a tiny, tailored deck. Only the gap. No filler.
3. Review with quick flashcards or fill-in-the-blank prompts.
4. A Watch Readiness score tells you exactly how comfortable tonight's episode will feel — then press play.

Why subtitle-driven beats traditional vocab apps
• Real context: every word comes from a sentence you're actually about to hear, in the voice of the show.
• Frequency-aware: we know which words appear once vs. every episode.
• Personal: your vocabulary level is measured upfront, and your deck ramps with you.

What's inside
• 7-screen onboarding (native language, target language, level placement, learning goal)
• Subtitle-driven flashcards with Wiktionary definitions + TTS
• Vocabulary bank with status tracking (New / Learning / Almost / Known)
• Daily streak + per-day word goal
• Coverage score per title — visualises how much of the script you already know
• Light + dark mode, 25-language UI

Coming soon
• Subscriptions for unlimited deck preparation
• Cueline integration (sister app) — daily movie-quote micro-quiz
• Mid-watch hints overlay
