One of the benefits of mobile apps and modern smartphone security is that even with banking & finance apps, you don’t have to fully sign in with username, password and 2FA code every time you open it. In places with poor mobile signal this will be a nightmare. The Apple wallet version of the loyalty card also isn’t scanning properly in stores. ### 2/5 — Scamming you out of money for deliveries *2026-08-11, version 2.0.2* So we all know that subway offers points to save points that can be exchanged for food. Well this only works if you pick it up but as soon as you try and order for delivery through subways app they will try to direct you to a 3rd party like just eat, uber eats or deliveroo. Now as soon as you use them 3rd party apps you can no longer use your subway points to knock off any money. Therefore one we are all getting scammed out of money and points as you don’t earn points through a 3rd party. Now for some people they can go out and get their food without any issues. But what about people that struggle to get out the house due to being disabled or having severe mental health issues! They can’t get out of the house to get the food!! So with that you are now restricting disabled people from saving money with your points system. This is a target attack on disabled people!! You are making disabled and vulnerable people feel like they are being left out because companies like this using 3rd parties to cut corners and save themselves money. If you want to save money scrap the points system as it is only one sided!!!!! ### 2/5 — Feedback *2026-08-10, version 2.0.2* App works ok, what is very disappointing is that on Deliveroo and other platforms you get meal deals and special offers but on the subway app you do not benefit from such thing. Lose all the points. Can’t log in. Doesn’t recognise me. Lost my account. Doesn’t like my password anymore. It’s almost like subway does not want me to use the app or collect points. The app is next to useless and if it wasn’t for the fact my autistic kid lives for their ‘sandwiches’ I would avoid like the plague. Because the layout has changed I can’t even figure out what is causing the same sub that used to be ~700 kcal is now 1200. If the nutritional chart is to be believed then your app is wrong if the app is correct then idk what i have been doing for past month. I loved using the app and ordering food from subway because that meant I could be on top of my calorie intake. Nothing more annoying than needing to sign in each use, especially when there’s no bank details saved on the app. When you log in you very often get “needs updating” “visit the help centre”. I didn’t find a way to use a reward when ordering in-store, so my reward expired unused (I don’t use Subway that often). 2. When ordering for collection, you can’t add notes, e.g. “Only 1 scoop of tuna please, not 2”. 3. You can’t opt out of the 20p takeaway bag when ordering on the app. I want to eat in, I don’t need this bag. It’s a waste or resources, and of my 20p! ### 1/5 — App is terrible *2026-07-30, version 1.12.1* Love Subway but the app is actual doodoo, it signs you out very often randomly its like it knows when you are near a subway and signs out, when you reset password it takes long to send codes and most of the time they dont work, overall very badly made app and needs to be fixed as its ruing user experience. ### 1/5 — Absolutely appalling *2026-07-25, version 1.12.1* For a multi million pound company this app is a joke. It doesn’t work 90% of the time you want to use it total waste of time and effort. The latest update meant I lost stuff because I didn’t know it expired so fast. It’s completely put me off and I now buy sandwiches in boots and Tesco.
