### 2/5 — Good, but with bugs

*2022-05-23, version 3.0.0*

Overall there are good bones in this app. However, there are problems. The train times are wildly inaccurate. Don’t attempt to use them. Also, the UI is a bit confusing, a lot of symbols are used and I have no idea what they mean. For example, there are wifi symbols on some trains… why? What does that mean? It also randomly crashes. This all points to a good concept and foundation but poor technical execution.

### 2/5 — So far it has not shown accurate wait times

*2020-01-25, version 2.1.0*

Tried several times, and it always shows different times than the MTA app, and it's always been wrong.

### 3/5 — Great But

*2019-11-03, version 2.1.0*

The app still doesn’t know that the M train shares the Q stops on 2nd Ave in Manhattan.

Also times for trains arriving and departing are less accurate here than on google maps.

### 4/5 — Helpfu

*2019-10-28, version 2.1.0*

I like the map very much. I don’t use the other features.

### 3/5 — Updated map

*2019-04-29, version 2.1.0*

When are you going to update your map? The new east side line has been open for awhile now.

### 2/5 — Little functionality and too many ads

*2019-03-26, version 2.1.0*

There’s really very little you can do in this app. And, if it really is an official MTA app, the ads are pretty intrusive.

### 5/5 — Simply: it works

*2019-02-13, version 2.1.0*

Having a static picture of the subway system is a huge plus for any regular subway rider. I like that train data is reported by fellow New Yorkers who I trust miles more than the MTA. I still use other maps to plan journeys and think that feature could be expanded but this app does exactly what it said it would and so I can’t really fault it for that.

### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2019-02-05, version 2.0.3*

Reliable and accurate. Makes navigating the subway system much easier.

### 2/5 — Primarily just a map

*2019-01-23, version 2.0.3*

Made by hobbyists probably. Good app by that standard! Fine if all you want is a map (although developers please eliminate safe area at the bottom of the map, unnecessarily white block on main screen seen on iPhone X models.

But users, you should try a professionally developed full featured app like Citymapper, waaay more functionality (eg subway exits, best position in subway cars to take)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-01-22, version 2.0.3*

Clean, light, and simple. Exactly what it should be

### 4/5 — REVIEW

*2018-11-01, version 2.0.2*

You need to have stations closed indicated in an obvious place, like circling them on the actual map. Ditto delays. Otherwise delighted. Thanks

### 4/5 — Does what it needs to do!

*2018-10-31, version 2.0.2*

Loads quickly, and doesn’t have obtrusive ads! Works great. The one downside is that the map isn’t totally up to date. (It is missing the reinstated M train service between Myrtle Ave and Myrtle-Wyckoff aves.)

### 5/5 — MTA app

*2018-10-14, version 2.0.2*

The app is very user friendly and provides whatever you need regarding service and what’s not in service which is key to planning a trip.

### 4/5 — Does what it’s supposed to

*2018-09-22, version 2.0.2*

Opens fast and displays the subway system map. Quick zoom in/out. Save your favorite stations and see how long until your train arrives.

### 4/5 — Subway NYC

*2018-09-09, version 2.0.2*

It is a good looking App. I would however put on the map where Major colleges are located.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where does it get its data?

*2022-09-29, version 3.0.0*

I’m in the station now. App says my train is zero minutes away. Signage in the station says it’s eight minutes away. Pretty clear the sign is right and the app is wrong. What’s the point of this app if the train timings are this unreliable?

### 1/5 — Not currently pulling scheduled times.

*2021-12-28, version 3.0.0*

Seems like the connection with MTA is no longer pulling information of scheduled times and locations. Map is very simple to use though. Hoping the developer can correct the train time issues.

### 1/5 — Ads!!!!

*2020-01-12, version 2.1.0*

Full of ads.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-03-16, version 2.1.0*

Absolutely useless map.

### 1/5 — made me feel like a buttery flaky crust

*2018-07-28, version 1.6.4*

this app asked me to write a review while i was on the subway, and i couldn't write a review because i didn't have a cell service connection. i would give it 1.5 stars cuz i like the nyc subway a lot but i can't give half star ratings so rip

my wife told me i could just round the rating up to 2 stars but i can't compromise my integrity, it would be lying to the american people. practically lying straight to obama on a tribunal in front of the united nations of america. but i wanted to cover my bases so i wrote this paragraph instead. have a good evening y'all, stay free or whatever.

### 1/5 — Deleting it.

*2018-04-29, version 2.0.0*

Deleting simply because of the atrocious new app icon you have made. After all, all I need is a map, and can save an image to my phone of MTA map.

### 1/5 — A poorly scanned map that’s blurry when you zoom

*2018-04-27, version 1.6.4*

With ads? Why?

### 1/5 — STOP NAGGING ME TO RATE YOUR APP!

*2018-04-15, version 1.6.4*

STOP NAGGING ME TO RATE YOUR APP!

### 1/5 — Even a baby could have done this app

*2018-01-31, version 1.6.4*

This just a map, this is not an App doesn’t do anything else.Way to go MTA...

### 1/5 — Stop asking me to rate this.

*2017-10-25, version 1.6.2*

Maybe make the search option one that highlights where the stop is located on the map, not just show which trains run there. Now stop asking me to rate this "mApp"!

*2019-08-12, version 2.1.0*

it’s a map.

### 5/5 — Very simple

*2019-06-26, version 2.1.0*

Very simple and works offline, which is important when ‘down under’ where there is no service. I refer to it often and don’t get hung up with ads that are in the way of what I need to see, sometimes in a moments notice.

Great app!”Very handy when traveling in NYC.”
