It is low key enough not to make kids hyper and is fun for all genders while building thinking and math counting, adding, and subtraction skills in an informal way. If you are a parent I recommend sitting with your preschooler and point out the blocks needed at top and help them search for block combinations that fulfill the goal. As the amount is reduced repeat the previous goal out load and the amount of blocks selected for the final tally. If that makes sense to you.
