The interface is a bit more clunky than some others. There are no ads but they want you to subscribe to remove restrictions, such as waiting to play a game and the quick candidate button. Worth it if you want a difficult puzzle to solve. ### 2/5 — Great app but limited games *2026-08-22, version 3.9.8* I've used this app for years, and it's an amazing sudoku app that works well and has a nice scoring system and helpful tips and strategies. Recently, however, they updated the app to where you can only play a certain amount before having to wait for a cooldown. The only way to bypass this is a monthly subscription!! Recently they have added a timer of 2:30 minutes after each game unless you “upgrade.” You are out of your mind if you think anyone is gonna sit there and wait over 2 minutes for something that used to be free and you’re even more of an idiot if you think anyone is going to pay to get rid of this wait that you have added. I’m done with this app just go buy a sudoku book or get any other app out there. Each time you complete a puzzle, you either have to wait for an arbitrary timer to end, or pay a monthly subscription. I would’ve been fine if it was a 1 time purchase, but that’s not an option. The note taking/highlighting, dark mode, and scoring system are well made. However the recent updates seem to push more towards making features that make playing for free worse.
