The app is very stylishly designed, with a soothing background that changes colour automatically (but only if you want it to - you can switch this off if it’s too distracting). There are enough configuration options to elevate this above many of the basic apps available - for example, the Rapid option for adding both solutions and notes speeds things up nicely. You can also switch off the timer if you just want a relaxed game. There are a few things it doesn’t do that I get in my other sudoku apps - for example, highlighting all incidences of a number on the board does not also highlight that number in the candidates, and the Hint button simply solves the selected cell rather than guiding you towards the solution step by step. For those reasons this app is not one I use all the time, as I prefer apps that have the capacity to teach me how to play the game in a progressive way. However, the developer seems very responsive to feedback, so other features may be introduced in the future.

When clicking on the app the first time I get a black screen that sometimes goes away & proceeds to the next screen. Other times after a minute & half it will start then the Syn logo pops up as though it will start but goes no further. I’ve uninstalled, rebooted iPad Mini 5. App & iPad are up to date.

Really cool connection and competition with friends and family via Apple Game Center. Overall it’s finally a sudoku app that takes full advantage of a digital platform - from beautiful colors to cool tools and functionality.  Love the achievements and leaderboards. The rapid function has taken me to the next level. Just wow!

I definitely enjoy this game because of the leaderboard and my competitive nature to be the best. Unfortunately I am not always the best or fastest. Lol. The game is entertaining and a must if you enjoy competing with friends and the global community.
