## What is Sufferfest Hiking?

Sufferfest helps hiking crews plan hard days out together — share the route, know where everyone stands, and keep the whole team on the same page.

Key Features:

Shared Routes: Easily sync and share your hiking routes with your group, so everyone stays on track.

Along-the-Route Weather: See temperature, rain, and wind forecast hour-by-hour along your actual route — powered by Apple Weather — so you know what the trail holds before you go.

Live Location: Get pinpointed on a preloaded route without continuous GPS tracking. Know where you are and how much further to go.

Low Battery Use: Designed to sip battery, so you can focus on the hike without worrying about your phone dying.

Team Coordination: RSVP to trips, see the roster at a glance, share planning notes, and sign trip waivers right in the app.

Multi-Event Trips: Bundle several outings into one trip — a Saturday summit and a Sunday canyon — each with its own route, map, and stats.

Planning Made Easy: Use built-in polls to make collaborative decisions and plan your hikes together.

-------------
Please Note:

Not a Track Recorder: While we use GPS to align you with a preloaded route, the app doesn't record tracks.

Not a Route Designer: Design your GPX routes with other tools and simply import them here.

GPX Exclusive: We focus on quality experiences and currently support only GPX route files for import.

### 5/5 — Best hiking app ever

*2024-05-25*

SO much better than Gaia or all trails. Shows your progress that you can follow the entire hike with elevation climbs that you can follow as you complete. How did anyone survive massive hikes before this app?

### 5/5 — Amazing app

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-11-06*

I did have a hard time downloading map and data for off grid use. User error
Otherwise perfect

### 5/5 — Sufferfest app

### 5/5 — Loving it

*2023-10-22*

Real time tracking over course elevation profile is handy. Thoughtful layout and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Profile feature and added locations

*2023-10-22*

This app performed beautifully the first time I used it on a long hike, which was right after the app was rolled out. And it has only gotten better. You can see your progress on the elevation profile, which you can’t do on Gaia or AllTrails, and you can add locations like places where you can get water.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2023-10-22*

This comes thru in the clutch. Provides a triangulation of data valuable for any serious Sufferfester.

### 5/5 — Suffer on the trail not with your tech

*2023-10-22*

I was with 40 guys and we did 40 miles in one day in the Tetons and this is all we relied on to see us through and it was brilliant. It was crafted for people who don’t need the fluff and want to focus on the trail ahead, and the glories around them without wasting any time or effort in the process
