I have always tried to structure my day around Salah so that I can follow this prophetic advice, but work, family, and community obligations can make that difficult. If I’m being really honest with myself though, my phone is also a big deterrent that keeps me from managing my time as tightly as I should. This app has been incredible for me! I downloaded it last week, but I wanted to give it a few days before I wrote a review because I wanted to see how well it actually affected my timeliness. I can now say that this is a game changer! The simple function of blocking the distracting apps you use most is JUST inconvenient enough, but still low impact enough to create urgency around prayer that I’ve never been able to sustain. It has multiple features like the ability to combine prayers, or for women to suspend the function temporarily, and it’s very intuitive. It’s already had a very meaningful impact on me, and I am amazed at how simple the change has been. I highly recommend, and I would advise everyone to both give it a try, and pray for the creators. It shows you prayer times, which prayers you’ve missed, there is a compass, menstruation mode and so many other features. Easy to use, love the layout. When I saw my prayer time notification, I’d swipe it away, then procrastinate with work, Twitter, anything! Next thing I knew, it was Isha time and I hadn’t prayed at all. At that point, there was so much overwhelm from all of the missed prayers that I’d just skip them. With Sukoon, I’ve been consistently praying all 5 prayers for months now! And almost all of them on time! Sukoon is the only app that actually MAKES ME PRAY! Everyone I have sent it to has had the same experience.
