Then it would be just P-E-R-F-E-C-T. ### 5/5 — Best calculator I've used. *2013-08-23* One of my biggest frustrations with iPhone has been it's lousy calculator. You type in the numbers and they disappear as they add up so you're never quite sure you've actually punched in the right numbers. With Sumhold, the numbers you've typed in are always there so you can easily spot a mistake and fix it. And if you've got several problems going you can hold onto all your sums without having to get out your pen and paper. I highly recommend this app to anyone who uses a non-scientific calculator even a little bit. ### 5/5 — A calculator that works with you *2013-08-21* Great app that helps you perform complex calculations. It allows you to break it down in simple steps, store calculated values, and reuse them later. It is so disappointing. Aside from the font choice being uglier/less elegant (and gigantic when typing numbers), the buttons are now completely opposite from what they were which is an enormous problem. I am so irritated about the limited functionality now that this is the first app review I’ve ever written. ### 1/5 — There's absolutely no reason to use this *2017-10-09* This is essentially a lazy programmer being lazy with his apple developer account. Nothing about this calculator is unique or better than the built in calculator in iOS. People who don’t have the need for complex calculations will appreciate the simplistic design and minimalistic approach. However, the lack of percentage calculation is a letdown. Percentage is one of the most basic and widely use calculations; it’s a function every calculator should not be without. In my book, this function is worth the two holding stars. ### 3/5 — Great design, could use a few more features *2013-10-02* I've turned to this app as a replacement for the abandoned calcbot app. Sumhold is well-designed, but could use: an easier way to clear the input; the X is too far because I hold the phone in my left hand. Also an audible click would be nice when tapping numbers. Lastly, I wish I could flick saved numbers UP just like I flip them down. There is flickering on the red buttons when task switching to and from sumhold on my iPhone 5s. I'd really like to be able to take a square root. Could we replace one of the keys, maybe the seven key, with the square root? It’s great for all the what if calculations I do. I’m not crazy about the latest update. I think everything is a little bit too bold and big. I also don’t like that they took away the percentage key. (It had last been updated yeaaars ago.) The thing that I like best about this app is that it makes setting calculator memories easy. Honestly who can understand what "M+", "M-" and all that mean on a regular calculator? (Not me.) Here, though, you just drag calculated numbers to a shelf, and you can easily drag them back to the calculation line if you need to use them again. It has a very clean UI that doesn't get in the way. All I could offer for constructive criticism is to suggest lightening the font weight for the total display, and to offer color scheme options, but these are minor design nits.
