Would be useful if it had rock climbing routes as well. Maybe if it collaborated with Rockfax or UKC or UKH for a more comprehensive database. Mit vielen guten Ideen. Jedoch gibt es eine Sache die mich stört: - man kann leider keine Freunde hinzufügen um sich gegenseitig zu pushen, wer grade mehr Touren und Gipfel macht. Das finde ich sehr schade, denn man hätte damit eine weiter kleine Motivation. Die für mich beste App im Vergleichssegment, die ich nicht mehr missen möchte. Bei Gipfelanzeigen bin ich 2x "hereingefallen" (Aussichtspunkt, Nebengipfel), erst nach der Datenübertragung zeigen sich alle Einträge ! Die häufige Aufforderung zur Bewertung nervt etwas ! ### 4/5 — Super App! *2018-08-29* Einziger Kritikpunkt: Es fehlt ein Offline-Gipfelverzeichnis für den Fall, daß es am Gipfel keine Internetverbindung gibt. **Developer response:** Gibt es :-) Du kannst alle Gipfel offline speichern. Unter Einstellungen>Offline-Inhalte>Land wählen>Wegpunkte. Danach sind alle Gipfel auch offline verfügbar. Durch das Speichern eigener Bilder zum jeweiligen Anstieg entsteht hier ein Erinnerungsalbum der ganz besonderen Art. Die App animiert zum Wandern, da es (siehe Pokemon) im Menschen den Sammeltrieb weckt, nur dass man hier reale Gipfel, Hütten, Scharten und sonstige markante Punkte aufsucht. Von der technischen Umsetzung gibts nix zu meckern. Und vergleichbare Apps schneiden wesentlich schlechter ab!! ### 5/5 — Mountain and hiking app *2016-05-31* Not bad, great if you like geo caching. Lots and lots of outdoors with this app. Remember if the info is wrong on the peak you can fix it, that part I love, also you can set new ones Too. I hope in time they are able to work the Bugs out, like saving maps for offline use, and a app for the I-pad and I-pad mini. The support is 5 stars the app is 5 now. Lots of fun. Best regards ### 1/5 — Gipfel futsch *2016-12-08* Nach Transfer der App auf neues IPhone (über Backup und Wiederherstellen) sind alle meine Gipfel weg :-( App daher für mich sinnlos. **Developer response:** Wer seine Einträge nicht an peakhunter.com sendet, hat kein Backup. Der Knopf dafür ist ziemlich gross und blau. But what a massive shame when I got to the summit of my first peak since downloading, to be told NO! I had full signal, 3G. All other mapping apps knew where I was. But not this one. I have since tried the app with full wifi signal at home, where it repeatedly tells me I have no internet connection. Please sort it out! It could be massively useful. ### 2/5 — Couldn't download UK maps *2013-04-06, version 1.9.8* A neat little app in theory but when it came to recognising a mountain I was standing on it failed. When I tried to download 1meg of maps data while connected to my 30mb wi fi it aborted halfway through. I tried 3 times and it failed every time. Maps are fine. But the overlaid location of the peaks is off by as much as 1000 to 1500 feet. I live in south central British Columbia Canada in mountainous terrain. Einzig die Funktion nachträglich einen GPX hochzuladen um sich noch auf Gipfeln eintragen zu können, als man die App noch nicht hatte wäre wirklich klasse. Great app. Highly recommend. I often have cell service at the summit, but there is a useful off line mode for very remote locations.
