## What is Summit?

Your steps and stair-climbs move you up a real mountain — not a cartoon of one. Summit only when you've covered the real distance and climbed the real vertical gain. One metre short doesn't count.

HOW IT WORKS
Walk, hike, or take the stairs. Summit reads your steps, walking distance, and flights climbed, and turns them into progress up a real trail with a real elevation profile. Distance gets you across the flats fast; vertical gain is what gets you up the headwalls. No partial credit, no shortcuts — the mountain doesn't grade on a curve.

WEATHER YOU CAN SEE COMING
Storms roll in on a forecast you can watch three days out. Reach camp in time and you're sheltered. Get caught exposed and the front pushes you back to the last camp you reached — never past it, never further than that. The mountain sets you back. It never blames you for the weather.

CLIMB TOGETHER, ALONE
Join a mountain with friends and everyone climbs it individually — your effort is yours, nobody can carry you and you can't carry anyone else. What you share is the mountain itself: the same camps, the same storms, and knowing where everyone stands on the same real elevation profile.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Summit works completely offline, in airplane mode, with no account required. Your health data is read on your phone to move your marker up the mountain and never leaves it — no ads built on it, no analytics built on it, nothing.

Free to play. Real mountains, real stakes, real weather.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-07

Friends: you now get clear feedback when you add a friend. If you aren't signed in, the app says so and offers Sign in with Apple, instead of failing silently.

Join a friend's trail: tap a friend in Base Camp and join the trail they're on. They get a notification that you joined. The button hides when you're already on the same trail.

Base Camp: friend names are shorter, without their ID tag. Tap a friend to see the full name. Each friend also shows the date their steps were last updated.

Climb tab: friend cards now show today's flights and steps. They no longer show a confusing "0 steps" for a friend who has barely climbed.

Mountain: your own row in the crew list now reads "You are here" instead of "0 steps ahead".

Acorns: the prestige acorns now fill in correctly.

Onboarding: the name screen no longer gets cut off at larger text sizes.

Notifications: push notifications now register reliably.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-05

A clearer mountain, a bigger closet, and a better look back at everything you've climbed.

The Mountain view now fills the whole screen, with a floating header that shows where you are and what's next. Use "Find me" to jump to your spot, "Fit trail" to see the whole route, or open the crew panel and tap a friend to jump to where they are. The long list of details now lives in a "Climb details" sheet, so the map stays front and center.

Closet & Gear is back in full, with tabs for Character, Hair, Top, Bottom, Accessories and Color. Zoomed previews show the part of your character you're changing, and tapping an item equips it right away.

History now opens full screen and loads much faster. Tap any trail, climbed or not, to see its ascent, distance, elevation profile, camps and your own history on it. Trails you haven't climbed yet are tucked into one tidy list, and your photos sit in a single scrolling row.

Activity is easier to read. Your weekly, monthly and yearly totals are one clear chart, led by how much you've climbed. Tap any bar to see that period's climbing, steps, flights and distance, and in the weekly view you get a day-by-day breakdown too.

Plus smoother scrolling and quicker opening across the History screens.
