### 1/5 — Loved it but… Changing to a 1 Star

*2025-06-15, version 1.14.82*

Original: Love the app and the data it provides. Would give it 5 stars if it connected to the Apple Health app and didn't need to have the app opened to update the dynamic island data.

Update: Bought a second sensor because the first got water under the face. Thought it was something I did so I didn't complain... One week after getting my replacement, my wife and I spent the day in the pool and both sensors stopped working and had water under the face. Beyond disappointed. Don't waste your money on this product if you live even a mildly active life and want to track your UV exposure…

### 2/5 — No Apple health integration

*2026-03-07, version 1.14.82*

I like the idea of this but the app is not very good and it doesn’t export the data to Apple health so I can’t incorporate it with all of the other health data I track about myself. Eventually my sensor broke and I didn’t bother buying another. I thought maybe I’d get a new one so I checked a year later and saw there’s still no Apple health support so I’m just done with them. If they’re not going to invest in continuing development of their product then I’m not sticking around.

### 3/5 — Keine Messungen im Schatten

*2026-05-21, version 1.14.82*

### 4/5 — Love it but…

*2025-05-10*

Love the app and the data it provides. Would give it 5 stars if it connected to the Apple Health app and didn't need to have the app opened to update the dynamic island data.

### 5/5 — Never guessing about skin aging or vitamin D again!

*2025-01-27, version 1.14.77*

This app is incredible and absolutely exceeded my expectation. The notification are great, so is the learning section. I always know when I’m getting sufficient sunlight and never have to guess if I’m getting too much sunlight or not. Especially if the outdoor uv is high but I’m in a shaded area, the sensor is so precise. Sunscreen reminders are good and also projection of total if exposure through the day is super helpful. Everything I didn’t know I wanted.

### 5/5 — A must have product!

*2024-06-19*

I got my Sun-A-Wear a couple days ago and I’m so happy I made this purchase. The app does all the tracking and warns you if you are getting too much UV light and if you need to re-apply sunscreen. You don’t pay any extra fees or subscriptions for the app. Just buy the device! I grew up in the 80/90s… baby oil on a fair skin red head… yeah that was dumb! Learned my lessons and I’m taking care of my skin as an adult! I can tell you I won’t be going outside without this.

### 5/5 — Love the Sensor and the App

*2024-04-18, version 1.14.75*

I purchased the sensor after seeing an ad on social media. I’ve had the device for a couple of months now so I decided it’s time to finally write a review.

In short, this is a great product and app. The sensor works incredibly well. No charging, no fussing with it, or anything. You just put it on and it does its thing. It’s small, it’s waterproof, and it’s pretty sturdy. I even ran it through the washing machine on accident and it was fine.

The app is another great job by their team. It provides the right information in an easy to read format, but also lets you dig into more in-depth info if you want that. I want to make sure I’m putting on sunscreen when I need to. This app makes sure I do that. I’m actually surprised how quickly that needs to happen in the Southern California spring sun. One you apply sunscreen you click the SPF number in the app and it adjusts its readings to account for the sunscreen and even reminds you when yo reapply. It’s exactly what I wanted.

The best part about all of this is there’s absolutely no subscriptions. I’m sick and tired of subscriptions and these guys did it right. You buy the sensor at a reasonable price and the app comes with it. I really hope this takes off because they deserve it.
