However, when I tried applying the code to an item that was already on sale, it was rejected as invalid. On top of that, the site is running a site-wide 25% off sale with code SSS25 heavily advertised on the site for the past month —so why would anyone choose a lesser 20% discount through the app? It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic just to get users to download the app. I’ve uninstalled it and won’t be using it again. For a company of this size, its surprising how outdated their payment systems are and how bad their customer service. When checking out, your options are so limited. You can’t pay partially with a gift card and the rest credit card. You can’t add money to gift card and since your order is rarely the exact gift card amount you lose credit. You also cannot combine gift cards. But the worst is that I returned a pair of shoes and after 3 weeks I hadn’t received a credit even though the return was accepted. I then had to fight them for over a week, calling like 6 times. Always the same response from the agents. Not possible to speak to manager and they never call back despite multiple requests. Only after I said I was calling the police because they essentially stole my money did I get my credit. A big brand should provide much better customer service, especially when handling payments and refunds.
