### 4/5 — Great app, not working

*2025-09-21, version 1.2.3*

I’ve had this app for many years and it’s always worked well. I don’t think it’s been updated for a very long time, though. I recently deleted and reinstalled on my iPhone and I can no longer access the settings. When I try, the app shuts down. It’s a shame because this was the best sun & moon app. Another good basic OG app that’s died.

### 5/5 — Sun Calendar Indeed!

*2015-03-17, version 1.1.1*

Have wanted all of the information provided by this app at one time or another. Now I have one place to look rather than several. The user interface is well constructed and intuitive. When you are working with Little League during spring and summer this is a must have item.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2015-03-03, version 1.1.1*

I often printed these from the web site. Now one tap on the iPad and all the info is right here.

It is nice to know we are really gaining daylight here in the frozen north.

### 4/5 — Good but not perfect

*2014-05-17, version 1.1*

As noted on other reviews, the web version is outstanding. However, the mobile version has one major flaw. The app does not auto locate and defaults to a Califonia location. As an amateur astronomer who does public star parties around the DFW metroplex and would like to know the exact time of sunset for the current location, I have to constantly minimize the map, move the center spot around the map then zoom in to find my new location and then recenter the map to get the times for this new location. If an Autolocate feature was included then I would give it 5 stars, but till then only 4

### 5/5 — Perfect for photographers

*2014-05-07, version 1.1*

This is very handy when setting up portrait sessions. A must have for photographers.

### 5/5 — Amazing Calendar App

*2014-03-06, version 1.0.0*

I have been using the web version of this app for several years and love it, but this app version is terrific. It has everything the web version has and more. Worth every penny and a nice way to say thanks to a developer who has been very generous with his web app! A must have app for calendar and astronomy enthusiasts.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2014-01-26, version 1.0.0*

I grew up in Ohio and moved to the east coast several years ago. I was astounded my first winter that the sun set before 5pm (and is always up by 7:30), and quickly became obsessed with sunrise and sunset times. I've since spent nearly every day poking around on the website, and now use the app. It's fantastic!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Total failure

*2024-12-25, version 1.2.3*

This app does not work as it implies. It did not work for me past the date page. His web site is worse. What it does is ropes you in to use calendar app then forces you to use other advertisers to complete the form. The whole website is filled with advertisers. It was hard to know what was real or an advertiser site to help you complete the form. Hope you don’t step on his surprises.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2024-07-02, version 1.2.3*

Shows for San Diego but I’m in Oklahoma City, every time I tap location or settings the app shuts down. Would have done better to get one of the free apps because this one is useless to me

### 1/5 — Rip Off

*2022-04-26, version 1.2.3*

Was to download to iCal. Want my money back.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous flaw

*2018-09-27, version 1.2.3*

This is maddening. On the sun and moon screen swiping left goes to past dates. Swiping right goes to past dates. Swiping up goes to past dates. Swiping down goes to past dates. There isn’t any way to go forward. No return to today. Is this app trying to tell me something? Don’t buy this.

### 1/5 — Great Presentation - Poor Data

*2015-12-25, version 1.2.1*

Okay, we are after the Winter Solstice and sunrise gets later every day according to this app. WRONG

### 1/5 — GPS doesn't work.

*2015-04-29, version 1.1.1*

Ok if you're in California. But GPS does not work. So, not of much use to the rest of the planet.

### 1/5 — Not worth money

*2014-12-20*

Hard to navigate, not user friendly there are better ones for free. Sorry I wasted my money

### 2/5 — Doug

*2023-07-17, version 1.2.3*

This app is not working. you try to go to settings and it just throws you back out of the app. I can’t change locations I’m in Trenton New Jersey and it’s showing me San Diego California. I love everything about the app. It’s simple and has just a basic things that I need without you wanna see it’s just not working.

### 2/5 — App crashes on print

*2021-11-29, version 1.2.3*

I bought this app for the ability to print the calendars but when I attempt to do just that the app immediately crashes.

### 3/5 — Difficult to change settings

*2015-12-29, version 1.2.1*

Couldn't get purple pin to move so look on a different site for longitude and latitude coordinates. Now I can't change it from Central time to Eastern time. HELP!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Grateful Website User

*2023-12-04, version 1.2.3*

I’ve been using your website for years and it has been such a profound help in my life. I will gladly support your app! Thank you for your work!

### 5/5 — Great

*2023-09-23, version 1.2.3*

I am using this app on daily basis. There are few things to improve but still I have to rate this app 5 stars

### 5/5 — It’s my go-to!

*2022-07-21, version 1.2.3*

I’m an Outreach Astronomer for a science institute observatory, and a soccer referee; both jobs benefit greatly from this app!

### 5/5 — Writer’s friend

*2020-07-11, version 1.2.3*

I had to write a scene for a city in the evening and had to determine how dark it was, or in this case, it wasn’t. Had to move the time of events later to match when it would be dark.

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2018-11-26, version 1.2.3*

This app is solid. It is clear and gives super accurate times with the extra detail free websites do not provide. This was worth the money.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!!!

*2017-12-13, version 1.2.3*

I have been using this app for years and it is fantastic to keep track of when the sun goes down. Thanks Sun Calendar!

### 5/5 — LLLLLLOOOOVVVEEEEE

*2017-09-30, version 1.2.3*

BEST APP EEVVVEERR! WOW! You can never go wrong w/ this app, it's my go to! I probably use it if not once a day, @ least once every 2 days. Maybe they could list the UV Index & have alarms that you could set for each time.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2017-05-05, version 1.2.3*

Like to track daylight, and this fits the bill.

### 5/5 — All the sun and moon info you will ever need

*2016-12-15*

This app combines a very easy to use interface with a ton of information. It's well thought out and the best app I've used for this purpose by some considerable margin.

### 5/5 — Good app for hunter and fisher

*2016-09-17, version 1.2.3*

I used this app to figure out what is best time to hunt and to fish to tracking the sun and moon. Also good for ranch work, so you know what exactly time the sun rise and sunset.
