StvMuz ### 4/5 — It's ok. *2012-01-14, version 2.0* I'm a truck driver who hauls oversize loads, where sunrise and sunset times are critical. An error can cost around $500. So far this app has done well as far as accuracy is concerned, but it would benefit from a better list of cities. I find myself hoping I have wifi so I don't have to set my position manually on the map. This app is trustworthy, but would benefit from additional development and patches. ### 3/5 — Used to be five stars *2011-10-25, version 2.0* Have had this app for almost 2 years it used to go to set location without any problems now have to make five trips around the barn just to get info that used to just pop up not happy with what you did to it please put it back the way it was. If last location was map or city search, it should remember it. Also, better date handeling would be good. From the main sun screen you can only go up or down one day at a time. This app only stores one. Looking to compare sunrise/sunset locations side-by-side. Will say it has pretty pics and easy to use. Only one FL city listed, need more. Can only choose cities listed, cannot search specific cities. But as a cinematographer or photographer it needs more than one saved location. Right now the software only remembers the last saved location. Very frustrating if you a planning a multicity shoot. I also would like to be able to save ranges of dates. This app has reached the top. There is no way to improve it from here. I photograph sunrise/sunsets, moonrise/moonsets and used to have to fake out the app by setting the ipod time and date to the time of the event I was interested in to get an actual compass direction for where on the horizon things are going to happen. Not anymore! You can set your location in maps to exactly where you are and with the new rev know exactly where on the horizon the rise/set.. is going to occur. If you are into photography this is EXACTLY what you need for this type of landscape photos. Fantastic job in providing this update. There aren't enough stars to actually rate it.. I like that it automatically finds my locatin and calculates rise and set times. Compass view is interesting to see the different positions and elevations of the sun and moon during the day. ### 4/5 — Great app, but a minor bug *2010-08-01, version 0* A great little app that I use all the time. On my 3GS running the latest OS, there's an annoying little bug when the "autolocate on startup" option is on. It seems to find the right location, but it's always 3 hours off in the time zone. A work-around is to go to the map settings and click the "find where I am" button, then turn off the autolocate on startup option. But it would be nice to have this bug fixed. ### 5/5 — Excellent interface *2010-07-23, version 0* Beautiful layout - very easy to read. Another comment here said you can't save manually entered locations but you can. You just need to turn off the auto-locate at startup. I like how the phases of the moon animate for different days. All of the iOS4 issues seem to be fixed! Nice addition of the animation of sun and moon position and elevation throughout the day. ### 5/5 — Great easy to use app!!! Don't need to be connected to calculate times or go to a different city or location. Like the phases of the moon and the addition of the slide to animate the position and elevation of the sun and moon throughout the day. ### 5/5 — Impressive functionality. Great interface. Uses GPS location! Like the Google Maps. *2010-07-23, version 0* The application has a great interface - really big letters, and easy navigation. I like that it calculates the sunrise and sunset automatically based on my exact GPS coordinates. Or if I want to pick a different city or different date, I can do that too. Why can't we save a list of perhaps 5-7 locations frequently used?Can only save last location inputted. A pain when planning a trip to photograph in western USA, as most areas are not listed, as there are no cities nearby. So one has to drag the pin from place to place, time and again, across multiple states, as there is no where we can save a list of areas, such as Jackson Wyo, Helendale Ca etc. ### 2/5 — Definitely not great *2010-02-04, version 0* Nice look but does not save lat. and long. info and I am at a location where autolocate is not available so I had to enter that data manually evertime I wanted to use it. It’s easy to use, and has a clear presentation of the basic information about the sun and moon. Knowing the exact time of the sunset makes it so easy. This summer we travelled from Oregon to the mid west where the sunsets were spectacular and right on time as shown in this app. Very cool that the program could use the built in GPS and auto correct for our new location.
