But most of the time it’s off. I been trying for a week, the next stop near you loads for too long and says no stops near you when I live near 2 bus routes. As a blind person I am dependent on the bus system and the plan a route functionality. This issue has been going on for quite some time. Are there not developers working on this? Sad ### 1/5 — Use maps app instead *2024-11-17* When trying to find out when a bus is scheduled at a particular stop one can look up a location which is provided by the app, but then when trying to actually get the bus info for that location the app says the location can’t be found. One part of the app can find the location but it cannot pass the information to the part of the app that needs it. It’s a useless app. Better to use the maps app that came with your phone for transit info because this one is not going to help you at all. ### 1/5 — App not working *2024-11-04, version 1.0.2* App doesn’t bring up route times anymore and I uninstalled app multiple times and it is now useless ### 1/5 — App needs an update *2024-11-02* Maybe it’s just a glitch today, but considering this app’s history at being non-functional or barely functional most of the time, it’s pretty frustrating when it shows up doing that again — especially as i’m waiting at a stop that is in service, but it claims there are no nearby stops available. The bus arriving late is an issue to take up directly with Sun Tran, but the developers of this app need to improve its functionality so it doesn’t bug out like this. Again, hopefully it’s just a glitch and not something more serious. ### 1/5 — Pointless app *2024-10-12* Not only will this app sometimes lie to you about the time the train will arrive or if it even will arrive, but on multiple occasions had a fake location of the train heading to my stop. This app is literally sabotaging me and wasting my time. ### 1/5 — App no longer recognizes multiple locations *2024-09-28* I love this app and I adore our free (currently) Tucson busing system. I often don’t need the Plan-a-Trip functionality as my trips are routine until I do need it and for the past few days it no longer recognizes locations by name nor by their verified accurate physical address. It will show the name of said place in the listing but when I select it and the screen returns to the map I get a small white pop-up box that says, “Unable to find location” and then quickly disappears. For example, it shows a listing for the Downtown Ronstandt Transit Station but once I select it, it shows the “unable…” pop-up. This makes navigating new places terribly inconvenient at best and means I have to manually try and figure it out but going in and out of multiple “track a bus route”, write down the times, and pray I have figured it out. Trust me, when I need more than two buses, this is a challenge I wouldn’t wish on my enemy. ### 1/5 — App can’t find my location *2024-09-18, version 1.0.2* I have constant problems with this app!! The GPS system that they’re using isn’t working and you can’t get any information from this app. It’s been this way for a while. They just don’t care. The bus tracker is wrong – it goes by the printed schedule, not the actual location of the buses. And no bus in this town goes by that printed schedule. But the worst part of the app is “Plan my Trip.” it gives you wrong directions, shows you the longest and most indirect routes, tells you to get off at the wrong stops, tells you the wrong times – and one trip gave me 3 minutes to transfer to a second bus even though they are fully aware that all their buses run 10-15 minutes late all day every day so there would be no way to catch that bus in 3 minutes. The “track a route” section shows you where the buses should be according to their schedules, not where they really are. And the “plan my trip” section is a complete joke. It will give you the longest and most indirect routes possible. Sometimes it just gives you the wrong routes. You have to go to their website instead and use that schedule to create your own trips. It’s a real nuisance. Their city budget almost doubled in one year and they still can’t provide an app that doesn’t go down every month. Reminds me of a local credit union I used that was down for maintenance once a month on Friday’s of all days. It’s like WTH? I wonder if city council runs their IT dept. probably - just like they run the city. Ha!! I submitted my review at 6am, before my review it was at 1 star, I gave it 1 star then all of the sudden it’s showing they have a 2 star rating overall all the sudden. Now I don't have to call that stupid phone number just to check. I wouldn't use the trip planner I guess, since according to the last review it doesn't work. However, when the app isn't working, it's down for a really obnoxiously long time--days, usually weeks. (For example, the servers have been down for over a week now!)
