As locals, we tried to use for mountain and area information, but it simply needs a new beginning and fresh look. ### 2/5 — Parking Lot *2025-12-30, version 3.2* Why is the large parking lot at River Run not paved? It is 2026 and a dirt parking lot does not match the Sun Valley experience. I want to go skiing not offloading before I go skiing. ### 4/5 — Vertical tracker *2025-02-08, version 2.8* The app is useful but world benefit from a vertical tracker like most large (and smaller) resorts offer ### 2/5 — Need snow reports in real time *2024-01-14* The app seems to only update snow reports once per day in the middle of the night so if it snows in the morning or during the day it won’t get updated until a day later, which defeats the whole purpose. The amount of snow is the lifeblood of any ski mountain. Infrequent snow reports make the app useless. Lift and trail status do seem to be updated in real time but the snow amounts are just as important. Of the few lifts serving these few slopes, one just broke. Designed to appeal to rich skiers and get them to spend more money on overpriced amenities. First day of 5 days skiing Bald Mountain. Exactly what I was looking for!! I had never skied here before. They were both great and they showed us the entire mountain. Some trails grooming status say last updated 30 days ago… does not seem correct. ### 5/5 — Inaccurate Data *2023-01-27, version 2.3* This is a useful app but it could be improved with accurate weather information. The temperatures and forecast are generally wrong and to a large “degree”. The temperature data top and bottom rarely shows any relation to reality. I use multiple weather apps and Sun Valley rarely is even close. And the forecast temps are even worse, so often they show temperatures from morning to afternoon plunging significantly when, or course, they warm from morning to afternoon most of the time. This is important to help skiers dress properly, especially for people who don’t live here. Also, the filter selections on the trail maps should be maintained between views. This is not a big deal but why create extra work for users?
