This app is very clean with a nice interface. There are a couple of things that would make the app much more useful. Being able to show the sun when the time position isn't 'now'. Also if it displayed the altitude and azimuth of the sun. The app obviously has this data already, why not display it?

Pretty handy tool when laying out landscaping or planing a jobsite set up and operation and it’s just actually pretty darn fun. If there were an option for Apple Maps or Open Source Maps this would be perfect. My only niggle is having Google invade my de-Googled iPhone.

Right now app use built in Apple Maps, and does not have any analytics or google services in use. 

Using Open Source maps is interesting opportunity, yet nowadays would require a solid investment, which contradicts the purpose of the app — simple, fast, free. 

Anyway, it won’t add any google to your phone ☺️

Great little tool that doesn’t collect any data from you. Fantastic!!! The one caveat Oleg is that occasionally I don’t have access to convenient landmarks so a compass feature enabling me to orient my phone in the same North/South plane would be invaluable. I still recommend this app very highly.

**Developer response:** Thank you! If I understood you correctly, you can tap the location button a second time to enable map rotation. This way, you can find North/South and orient yourself towards your non-convenient landmark. Hope it helps! 🧭

The Google Maps are not current. The Satellite view shows how old they are.

**Developer response:** Hello! The app is not using Google Maps. It is using latest Apple Maps instead. Please, use Maps app at the same location to validate it. 

That said, having non-Apple components would impact your privacy. Currently app is not using anything non-Apple. And unfortunately it’s not always the best.

What can be done: feedback to Apple on your locations of interest and request to update maps there. Sometimes they listen.

How to get Temperature, just suddenly came on. Very good. Thanks.

**Developer response:** Hi! By default, if you zoom to the place close enough, in the bottom right corner of the map you will find the temperature. It’s showing current temperature for the place. In forecast (if you choose tomorrow’s date, for example) it will show you the midday temperature. 

And, there’s update coming — which has exactly weather fix :)) it was not displaying in some cases.

I do a fair amount of motorsports photography and while I know my local tracks this is still a great help in determining where I need to be on track at what time. Simple but effective.

This app is an incredible tool for camping and hiking. Offline mode works extremely well. The interface is easy and intuitive. I use it to determine how to align my tent for morning light, and to align my RV to keep it from warming up too much. My only request would be for an Apple Watch version for while I’m hiking.

I love this app! It's simple, straightforward, and focused in its purpose. Elegant.

I use it somewhat frequently to figure out when sunrise/sunset is in different places, and in the Before Times, I frequently used it before boarding Southwest Airlines flights to figure out where the sun would be relative to our flight path and help me decide which side of the plane to sit on. Sometimes it's nice to have shade for reading/napping, and other times it's fun to see the sunrise/sunset. :D

This app deserves far more attention than it gets!

I’ve just downloaded this app and it seems to have exactly what I’ve been looking for. You can see where and when the sun is duration of sunshine and temperature. 
Combine this with no information being collected and I think I’m going to really like this. I will be updating this review in about a month or so. 
If I may suggest some additional display could the developer include azimuth and information on the moon. Good job.

The app works and shows me where the sun will be.

The only thing I would like (& why it 4 stars not 5) is that I would like to see the numbers for the azimuth and elevation. This gives a good graphical representation but I then need to translate that to data.

Great layout and I like the daylight duration.   Can you add the sun attitude in real time?  You already have the position relative to the ground. Just need to add a number in a small text box.

When i look for sunrise/sunset times in the future, in summer time, there is an one-hour-error. How about a switch to change to UTC? Karsten.

Hi , This is great app and also your web service is great . Thanks . However I noticed that I can’t find many places when try to search. i.e. I was looking for Merzouga in Morocco and it won’t come up . Is there a way to fix it. This app will be much more useful to if it could search places.

SunCalc is a great tool but at present the app keeps crashing on my iPhone. Not reliable at the moment and very unstable. Please fix otherwise it’s useless

The app is really helpful for determining sun exposure and shadows. 
I live in PA near Ohio---  on taking my device to the east coast shore, I found that the time of sunrise was shifted one hour later actual local sunrise time. 
Based upon this error, I missed the opportunity to photograph sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. ,

I really like this app, but when I change the date the sun (angle) disappears. I'm not sure how to set the time, or tell it to keep the same time as I scroll through days.

Thank you for taking the time to create and maintain this app. I’ve been using this for several years now and have gained a much better understanding of the sun’s path throughout the day and year. Initially, I used it to plan where to sit at a baseball stadium 😎. Now, I use it for a number of outdoor activities, particularly hunting and camping

I love the simplicity of this app; as someone who enjoys sunrises and sunsets, I often just want to know what time and in what direction I will find the sun. There are lots of apps that offer much more information, but that gets in the way of what I usually need. I've been using this app for many years, and it's always been stable and easy to use.

This app is excellent to know the time of sunrise and sunset including golden hours and sun position at any place on earth. It is enjoyable to look at the time dial shift to adapt DST change, clever.

I’m a keen amatueur photographer and wanted a simple tool to help me work out the best time to photograph buildings etc., to best advantage. This seems to be that tool. It’s great to be able to zoom in accurately on the satellite view, and the graphical representation of the data in a simple, intuitive way seems better than other apps I’ve seen. Thanks for producing this brilliant (and free!) tool.
