After several lengthy troubleshooting sessions and phone calls, I was eventually told that the Secured App, and only this app, does not accept passwords longer than 16 characters. There are two major issues with this. First, the error message is misleading. My password wasn’t invalid; it was simply too long. A clear error message would have saved a lot of wasted time and frustration. Second, the irony isn’t lost on me that the app specifically marketed as the “secured” app requires a shorter password than the other banking platforms. Restricting password length in 2026 feels outdated and runs contrary to modern security best practices. The support staff were helpful once the issue was identified, but the app’s password limitations and poor error handling made for a frustrating experience. ### 1/5 — Fix this immediately. *2026-02-27, version 2.4.1* Doesn't accept a password I JUST used to log into the main banking app. Made a new password, didn't accept the new one either. Absolutely unacceptable. Both passwords were copied straight from a password manager so I'm confident it wasn't an error on my end. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2026-01-25, version 2.4.1* Every time I try to log in it asks me to enter a new pin. When I do so it says this may overwrite a previous registration but there is no other option available so I do so. I am immediately returned to the log in screen and get to do it all again in a continuous loop. At no time am I able to access the code I need to make a payment from my account. The app should support biometric login not just PIN, it’s cumbersome digging up the pin for this app every time the user logs in 2. For a smoother UX, take a look at how Xero and other apps do auth. It could be adapted to this use-case like so: when a token is required by the Suncorp App / website, a push notification should arrive to the device with the secure app on it asking “Authorise transaction?” or similar and when tapping it, the user should be authenticated via biometric login, transaction details shown. When the user authorises it the token should be sent back to the calling app/website. This way the need to copy out the token and paste it in the calling app is eliminated as that’s errr prone and annoying as well. ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2025-08-13, version 2.2.2* Don’t even bother trying to run a business using Suncorp banking. It delays not days but weeks. There bank staff and customer care both have no clue what the errors are.. they have standard instructions with basic information which customer them selves can do. I waisted 3 days to just doing same thing with staff approx 2-3 hrs in each call however still not able to solve my problem. I’m still waiting to hear from the customer care. My call got disconnected but the staff didn’t bother calling me back after spending 2.30 hrs on the call. I don’t have option to reach out to that person again. I have opted to change banks than even attempt to call suncorp and waste a day of my life to get no solution. ### 1/5 — App not working *2026-07-02, version 2.4.1* The app has logged me out and saying that when I log in, I don’t have a token set up. I have tried on two different phones to login, set the PIN, deregister old token, and then it redirects me to login and repeat the process again.
