## What is SunDay?

Ever planned a beach day only to get absolutely destroyed by a thunderstorm? Ever planned a hike only to realise you forgot suncream and a cap?
Yeah, us too. That's why we built SunDay.

SunDay is the weather event planner that lets you see the forecast for dates months in the future — so you can stop guessing and start living your best outdoor life.

How it works: Planning a zoo visit in July? A hiking trip in October? A wedding next spring, and you really, REALLY need it not to rain? Just add the event, pick a date and location, and SunDay will analyse decades of historical climate data to give you a weather estimate. As your event gets closer, the forecast automatically upgrades to real-time meteorological data. Science!

Features that slap:
- Long-range weather predictions — plan weeks, months, or even a year ahead
- Smart forecasts that refine themselves as the date approaches (they grow up so fast)
- Timely reminders so you're not caught in the rain without an umbrella… again
- Beautiful calendar & list views to keep your outdoor life organised
- Share events with friends — because misery loves company, but sunshine loves it more
- Export & import your data — your events, your rules
- Dark mode for the night owls and light mode for the morning people (we don't judge)

Available in English, Dutch, German, French, and Spanish

Privacy first: Your data stays on YOUR device. We don't track your location, sell your data, or do anything sketchy—pinky promise.

Eco-conscious: We even gently discourage unnecessary forecast refreshes to reduce data centre energy consumption. You're welcome, planet Earth.

Who is SunDay for?
- Hikers who've been betrayed by "partly cloudy"
- Parents planning zoo trips who refuse to accept "we'll see"
- Wedding planners with anxiety
- Festival-goers who learned the hard way that mud is not a feature
- Anyone who has ever said, "I'll check the weather closer to the date" and then forgotten.

Stop gambling with the weather. Download SunDay and plan with confidence — or at least plan with a really good forecast.

Every day can be a SunDay.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.19.0 — 2026-06-12

What's New in 2.19.0: The "We Fired the Groundhog" Update

Ever try to plan a beach day 11 days in advance, only to have our app shrug at you? We felt that pain. So we tore out the engine, yelled at some servers, and now we're giving you a full 14-DAY FORECAST. You can now meticulously over-plan your life a full two weeks before the event actually happens!

What else did we do while hopped up on excessive amounts of caffeine?

- WE UPGRADED THE RADAR: If you're in the Netherlands, Europe, or the Caribbean, we tapped into the ultra-precise KNMI models. It's basically a weather satellite that whispers secrets directly to us. It's so accurate that it will tell you when a single drop of rain is aiming for your left shoulder.
- WE SENT OUR AI TO MATH CAMP: Did you notice our app occasionally throwing a tantrum and telling you the afternoon temperature was exactly 'NaN' degrees? Yeah... our AI forgot how numbers work and panicked. We sent it back to elementary school. It now proudly outputs actual digits for wind speed and temperature like a good little algorithm.
- MINOR EXORCISMS: We swept a few other spooky bugs under the rug. Please don't look under the rug.

Update now to peer exactly 336 hours into the future! (Disclaimer: SunDay-App is not legally responsible if you don't like what the future looks like.

### 2.18.0 — 2026-06-11

What's New in Version 2.18.0

Who says under-the-hood updates have to be boring? In version 2.18.0, we sent our servers to the gym! We have completely overhauled our backend infrastructure to ensure your weather forecasts arrive faster, more safely, and more reliably than ever before.

Think of it as a supercharger for your weekend plans. There are no new buttons to press this time around—just a much smoother, ultra-secure ride behind the scenes.

Keep enjoying SunDay, and as always, let us know what you think by leaving a review!

### 2.17.0 — 2026-05-27

What's New in v2.17.0

Slimmer Cards, Bigger Picture
We put your event cards on a diet. They're now sleek, compact rows that show the essentials — event name, date, location, and weather — all in one line. You can finally see more than two events without developing a scrolling thumb injury.

Tap to Reveal
Each card now has a little chevron that unfolds the full forecast, weather warnings, and all your favourite buttons (edit, share, repeat, refresh, delete). Think of it as a tiny drawer for your event's secrets.

Same great weather forecasts, now in a tidier package. Your thumb will thank you.

### 2.16.0 — 2026-05-21

Finally, you just want to know the weather forecast for your birthday every year? No problem... You can create yearly repeating events!

Did you notice that when adding a new event, you always had to scroll up again? We did! We fixed it for you!

### 2.15.5 — 2026-05-05

Tired of waiting to see the updated weather forecast? We fixed it. As soon as there is a new update, you get the weather update.

We made some updates to support your friends using Android apps :)

Fixed some small bugs and made the app more fun ;)
