### 2/5 — Too hard to use.

*2021-12-09, version 3.7.2*

I like the tools. But they are too hard to discern how to use. Most frustrating is how to change cities.

### 3/5 — Worked great for years until last update.

*2021-01-21, version 3.7.1*

Thus app was flawless and worked great for years until last update. Crashes when selecting Events option.

### 2/5 — No longer working on iPhone

*2020-12-14, version 3.7.0*

I love this app, but it seems that I can only use it on my iPad these days. On my iPhone there seems insufficient space for all the text, and I can’t scroll through to select days. Such a shame.

### 4/5 — My PC version packed up. This is OK

*2012-07-24, version 2.2.2*

It's working and apart from the really naff home screen it's excellent!

### 5/5 — Highly informative for outdoorsmen

*2010-12-01, version 0*

I regularly travel to high country west of my home (Edmonton), and this app let's me know when I'll have the sun in my eyes and when the driving will be easy. I also use it for lake fishing to see noon and gloaming and plan accordingly (I add a location Lat & Long for each body of water and save it). It works for relatively open stretches of streams, too. I even use it for mowing the lawn! I am delighted that my aging 3G can run this app (requires either iOS 3.x before v2.x or iOS4.2 with latest version of SunGraph).

### 5/5 — Great app - 2.2.2 works with OS 4.1 and fixes many bugs

*2010-10-22, version 0*

This is a fantastic app - very useful in a number of settings. The new version (2.2.2) now runs smoothly in OS 4.1. It also reads the location services from the iPhone GPS automatically for new locations. The developer has also fixed many small bugs, and this program once again lives up to it's promise. Really great for people who need detailed information about the sun angle, rise & set times, day length, equation of time, etc. - e.g. folks who work, teach or play outdoors and need to know where and when there is sunlight. Works around the world and at home - excellent app, and free!

### 3/5 — iPod Touch good, iPad not so timely

*2010-10-22, version 0*

Works great for the iPod Touch (a bit quirky, but what's not in astronomy), however when used on my iPad the clock is off by 8 hours (it seems to think that 8 PM is noon). A fun app for any astronomy buff. It would also be nice IF it took advantage of the iPad screen.

### 4/5 — Fixed! Thanks

*2010-10-16, version 0*

Love it again! I've missed this app since it's trouble with os4, but it's back in the saddle again. A few bugs..but it's free and enjoyable. Thanks

### 3/5 — Loved it, but now crashes.

*2010-09-14, version 0*

Used this app all the time, but after 4.1 update it crashes constantly.

### 5/5 — Awesome!!!

*2010-01-19, version 0*

Like polprof, I too had some problems pulling up my location. But, as he says, remember to put in your minus signs where needed. Exp: -6 for central time. You can find your lat long coordinates on line. You only need degrees and minutes, not seconds. Exp: 84.3 and so forth. Type them in and then you must touch the blue arrow. Your location should now be there. Good luck all.

### 4/5 — What's the trick?

*2009-12-05, version 0*

Saved a location but can't call it up

### 5/5 — First class app

*2009-10-26, version 0*

A graphically very appealing and flexible presentation of solar data, particularly for anyone who has been bit by the analemma bug ( perhaps from reading Neal Stephenson?). Had a bit of a problem getting my location right, but the developer quickly and courteously straightened me out. Remember to use minus signs as appropriate, and that the blue arrow applies the chosen location. I think this is one of those amazing free apps.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-08-10, version 3.7.6*

This apps assume everybody should live in Aberdeen! What is the point of having geolocation activated, then?

### 1/5 — I can’t get past the legal disclaimer screen.

*2022-10-30, version 3.7.4*

I can’t get past the legal disclaimer screen. Nothing happens when I press “agree.”

### 1/5 — Update issues

*2022-06-12, version 3.7.3*

Since the app was updated I can no longer rotate the screen to make it wider for the world view. Also no place to report this problem as all links on the page don’t work.

### 1/5 — Phoenix

*2020-09-10, version 3.7.0*

The app does not include the 5th largest city in USA. The problem with latitude and longitude is the land size of Phoenix.

### 1/5 — No Save

*2012-12-28, version 2.2.2*

Without being able to save a location, or even use one that isn't part of the list at least temporarily, the exercise is rendered pointless.

### 1/5 — Can't add my location

*2012-10-02, version 2.2.2*

Click save, nothing happens, no error. Useless without that.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2011-03-27, version 2.2.2*

This Ap does not take Daylight Saving Time into consideration. For an Ap based on time, this is astounding. Also unintuitive in finding and saving your location. You must touch "return" prior to touching "save.". Uninstalling now...

### 1/5 — Crashing OS4

*2010-09-26, version 0*

Have a 3G iPhone and app worked great until I upgraded to V4 OS. Now the title screen appears for a couple of seconds and the app exits.

### 1/5 — WHY NOT FOR 1G IPOD TOUCH ??

*2009-07-16, version 0*

There is nothing that this VERY INTERESTING APP does that precludes the iPod Touch 1G .... yet for some strange reason, the creator has seen fit to exclude this model. .... I emailed a few days ago asking about, this but as yet have no answer. I would be very happy to revise my review and rating if this app were updated to allow usage on the iPod Touch 1G. I am so very interested in using this app in the various places I travel to. Please update it (I am hopeful that the low version number means that this app will be under further development). Thank you!

p.s. perhaps many of the one-star ratings are from other hopeful iPod Touch 1G users who were as disappointed as I was when I tried to install it.

### 1/5 — Mr

*2009-07-14, version 0*

App will not auto locate and I don't know my Lat and Lon so not a good choice

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Optional

*2026-03-30, version 3.7.6*

Optional

### 5/5 — Love it

*2022-04-15, version 3.7.0*

I've been using this on my iPhone for a while and I saw it now on the App store. Great job and a great tool.

### 5/5 — Brilliant Program But The Last Update Broke It...

*2020-06-18, version 3.7.0*

I’ve had SunGraph on my iPad’s now for 6 or 7 years, and it’s a brilliant program that does exactly what it sets out to do - show you the sunrise and sunset times every day of the year. Sadly, the update a month ago broke it - the program now no longer updates time. My copy is stuck on June 7th 2020 at 07:41AM and doesn’t update to the current time any more.

### 5/5 — Picture is worth ten thousand words

*2015-10-04, version 3.1.0*

These graphs bring together the picture worth ten thousand, not just a thousand, words.
The perfect descriptive graphs of the sun's position. Nicely done! Much appreciative.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2015-09-25, version 3.1.0*

Does what it is suppose to. Never had any issues.

### 5/5 — Nice!

*2014-01-25, version 2.2.2*

I love this app -- where else are you gonna get an analemma for your iPhone?!

### 5/5 — Perfect fit for iPhone

*2012-07-13, version 2.2.2*

This is a great app and it is free. I am constantly amazed at the generosity of developers like this one who spend so much time putting an app together and then make it free!
Hit the "+" button in the upper right hand corner and you can add your specific location and adjust for day light saving time.
Thanks Mr. Urschel for a very useful app!
Wish list: universal so it works without adjustment on the iPad; use GPS to find location...
just discovered thst it doers do gps!
also there is an iPad version...

### 5/5 — Great Info Re: Sun

*2011-06-05, version 2.2.2*

I've used this program on my Mac for years and love the data and graphic presentation. It's great to now have this on my iPhone. Most people are astounded that the longest day of daylight does not have earliest sunrise or latest sunset. Also interesting to know angle of sun above horizon.

### 5/5 — SunGraph

*2011-01-09, version 2.2.2*

Simple way to learn & understand about our planet's relationship to the Sun.

### 5/5 — A gem

*2010-12-03, version 0*

This is a great little app. Many thanks for porting it to iOS.
