That’s exactly what I was looking for and it’s exactly what this app does, among many other more advanced things. My only complaint is with everything regarding the watch complications on the Apple Watch Series 11. They either don’t work or show up at all, or are super buggy. The app itself on the watch is super buggy as well and there’s few very basic and not very informative complications **Developer response:** Hey, we have made several tweaks to the Apple Watch app and complications in version 4.10. I use it to show people visuals of shadow maps and it works brilliantly for that My only complaints are that the building shadows look quite low res / jagged, could have a toggle for higher graphics,and that it would be great to have an option to toggle maps labels on and off, other than that, it’s really convenient and a pleasure to use :) ### 4/5 — Buying options *2025-11-11* I wish I could purchase 120 minutes of use for $5.00 It’s likely I will only use the app 2-4 times in my life. Then decide; when the top of the tide will be; that we will be able to see the 3 huge Azimut Tugs pulling, slowly out towards the horizon; if I will be able see my chart, out on the Casualty's port Bridge Wing... in a Katabatic Wind, that could be gusting to Force 10 at times; when to Order the tugs to start ramping up their power - and all being predicted by the light of a Gibbous Moon. Yours is a fair doubt, and we appreciate you questioning our choices. Since the very beginning of our little indie studio, our goal was always to build intuitive and focused apps. Sunlitt was our first, and it started as a very niche, little tool to check the sun's position at any time. Across years of development, we have kept improving and adding features, while always staying focused on the sun only. We wanted to build a similar, intuitive, clean, and focused experience for the moon too. However, including everything inside one app would have resulted in a cluttered and inconsistent experience. It was simply not feasible. Additionally, the moon is much more complex to track, and there's more technical data to consider: illumination, terminator angle, libration... In the end, we decided that the two tracking experiences are very peculiar and belong to two independent apps. Apps that do one thing, but very well. We hope we addressed your doubts. It’s intuitive and nicely designed, which is rare these days for phone apps. I used it religiously to figure out where to sit in the library and not get blinded by the sun. I’d spend 8-12 hrs daily studying for my medical exams and having to pack up and move a few hrs in because of the sun was a huge hassle. I tried every sun tracker app out there and stumbled on this one the first week it was published; it far and away the best on the market. Absolutely something I’d pay for if I was using it commercially (ie. Film industry), but the free tier is perfect for a student just trying to find a place it sit.
