This app seems to be upon the sunnah. And people are actually serious for marriage. If the developers fix this bug problem it would have gotten 5 stars. But, just FYI I have not used the paid version yet, since it is too expensive. ### 2/5 — Paywall *2025-12-16* The app seems to be alright. But a lot of the women on it seem to be pretty strict about culture etc. A lot of the user base is from the UK or countries around the world. It’s a bit buggy and it’s behind a massive paywall. Unless you pay 66 bucks for half a year you can’t do anything at all. Not worth the money. I also try to delete my account and it doesn’t seem to do anything ### 1/5 — Major improvements are needed *2025-10-02* I appreciate the effort behind creating this platform and may Allah reward you for trying to provide a halal alternative. However, a lot of work still needs to be done on this app. While there is a feedback website where users can share suggestions and vote on needed features, the updates being released don’t actually address the main issues raised by the community. Important features, such as a proper block option (which is essential for ensuring the app remains a safe space), are still not being implemented. The people are good, but I find it hard to believe they are if they are making you pay for an app like this. Just seems like a money scheme. Requests option not fully functional. Profile bugs. The list goes on. I want to give the founders the benefit of the doubt but it is very hard to do so. If you’re looking for spouse make dua and look through your community. Not these apps. Not to say the people are bad because you can see good intentions. But don’t let founders like these take your money and give you a low quality service. Fix your app. Assalumalaikum. ### 1/5 — Disappointing- Riddle with Bugs *2025-07-21* I want to support and like this app because I believe that it’s upon the Sunnah but it’s just so buggy to the point of being basically unusable. Things don’t load properly, the ui tells me that my profile is not complete but doesn’t direct me to where the problem areas are, the browser version is also extremely buggy. They move things around and now I can’t seem to find the place to edit my profile. Like subhanAllah I thought these apps were supposed to make things easier not more difficult and annoying. Logged in on safari and basically all my profile info disappeared ### 1/5 — So bad *2025-06-22, version 3.2.1* Ever since they updated the app it’s been so bad they log u out of ur account and delete ur bio and you can’t even log back in this should not be happening esp since you have to pay for it. Then when you use the paid subscription it still asks you to pay/ subscribe as it doesn’t know you already subscribed, so you can’t really do anything on the app. I reached out to support twice and received no reply. 0 stars ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2025-05-15, version 3.0.0* UPDATE 16.05.25 Made a new profile, this had been wiped as well, joke app App was updated and my profile was wiper. I contacted Sunnah match on 18.01.25. Was told it was pass to the coder. I chased it a few times was told same thing. Was then ignored. Been over two months. I contacted them again only to be told it has been passed on and it’s out of their hands. What a joke of service. ### 1/5 — Paid for subscription but no change *2025-05-09, version 3.0.0* I paid for the subscription but my app hasn’t been updated yet. Emailed customer service but no response. Now I’m paying and don’t get the benefits for the full amount of time ### 1/5 — Lost Account *2025-05-04* It’s quite discouraging that I took time to make an account and write all the necessary details I was asked for, then after receiving my first ‘interest’ I find that I am conveniently logged out. Upon entering my email addresses, it tells me ‘Account Not Found’, same with the web page version. Then tried to Sign Up with Apple hoping maybe it will take me back to my original account, but no. It’s disappeared. The application is glitchy and seems insecure since my account literally disappeared so easily. I’m deleting this app and don’t intend on returning. Just saw a review about there a £2500 private service and the complaints about it, why does this need a private service if the app is supposed to be soo good? There's people on this app who cheat the system and put their telegrams which is haram, the owner and dawahman live luxurious lives in the UAE. The app is full of bugs and low-quality features, targeted just to earn money rather than streamlining the matchmaking process for the believers. Often the app goes down completely. Seems like the team working on it is just using ChatGPT to write code with no skills whatsoever. May Allaah help the manufacturers to purify their intentions. Also not to mention, men with predatory/unethical behaviour are not banned even when you report them. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-01-12* App states that there is a free trial period however I was charged without ever attempting to try the app. I am now not able to get a refund and I was charged 43 dollars for an app I do not even want to use. Stop being deceiving and stating there is a free trial period if you plan on charging users right away. ### 1/5 — Disappointing + Frustrating *2026-01-07* As mentioned by others, the app has potential but it all seems like a money making scheme. The purpose is to make finding spouses easier yet you’re asked to pay £30 a month for what, to view profiles? Even a Netflix subscription costs 6x less than that. For those of us who cannot afford that, especially sisters (!), this is quite ridiculous and certainly does not seem so ethical. It does not make sense to prevent people from accepting a chat or a request purely because they do not have a subscription - at least one party does! Not to mention the constant app bugs that have been going on for probably over a year. Migrate to Pure Matrimony is my advice to customers. However, completely restricting messaging for non-paid members makes communication difficult. Allowing at least one message, as before, would greatly help sincere users. ### 1/5 — Not islamically compliant *2025-11-16* Personally speaking, there is not enough filtering of weird men and predators. The admin team barely respond and if they do its half hearted disingenuous responses where they truly dont show any remorse for the situations brought forth. The co owner of the app is also looking for marriage and even one conversation with him made me realise it does just seem like a money game. His obsession with me not knowing who he was, was quite off putting and questionable. The app glitches and seriously it makes no sense why you cant see who’s viewed your profile. At least the free version should THAT available even if you cant ‘like’. Honestly, my experience has been terrible and men on there ive come across are just predators and not truly practising or have strength in their deen or taqwa! This isnt all men, but ngl a lot of them.
