## What is SunNomad?

SunNomad is a road trip weather app built around one simple question: Where should I go for better weather?

Compare forecasts, sunshine, and driving distance at a glance. Discover places worth the drive, choose when to go, and find overnight stops along the way.

FIND SOMEWHERE BETTER

Explore the map to find warmer, cooler, sunnier, or simply more comfortable destinations within driving distance.

DISCOVER PLACES WORTH THE DRIVE

SunNomad combines weather forecasts with memorable destinations, scenic stops, and practical travel information — turning “maybe this weekend” into an actual road trip.

KNOW WHEN TO GO

Compare temperature, rain, sunshine hours, humidity, and wind before you set off. Simple badges highlight conditions such as Worth the Drive, Warm & Dry, and Sunny Streak.

KNOW WHERE YOU CAN STAY

Discover campgrounds, dispersed camping areas, RV parks, and other useful overnight stops along your route.

SAVE YOUR FAVORITES

Keep interesting destinations together and compare them when it’s time to choose your next escape.

FROM WEEKEND ESCAPES TO LONGER ROAD TRIPS

Explore thousands of destinations across the United States, Canada, Europe, and beyond.

No endless travel planning. No staring at weather maps wondering what they mean for your trip.

Pick a direction. Find better weather. Drive there.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-12

- Filter the map by landscape: mountains, coast, or lakes. Show only one, or hide what you do not want.
- Sun, rain, and snow sit in the same filters, plus heat, streak, and weather curse when you want that kind of thing (or not).
- Pick Apple Maps or Google Maps for directions and remember the choice.
- Indian Summer marks the mild, golden autumn days.
- Map stays steadier when you switch between warmer and cooler.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-18

SMOOTHER ROADS AHEAD.

• Indian Summer — new badge: mild, sunny autumn spells marked on the map
• Warmer / colder mode ranks places that actually match
• Weather chips — sun, rain, or everything
• Map crash and stability fixes
• Words for the road — highly educational and lyrically sophisticated quotes when the app starts
