Were it not for the duplicity of having to dial in the EV table, this would be great.

All I want and need to know are shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.

Adding the EV requires a guestimate on weather conditions.

EV requires data from the others and is redundant and confusing. Use one or the other. 

As a result, I rarely even look at it, and will probably delete it.

**Developer response:** Hello folsombob. Thanks for giving Sunny16 a try. The Sunny 16 exposure rule allows you to determine a correct exposure under any naturally occurring lighting condition without the use of a light meter. The rule is adaptable to any naturally occurring lighting situation you might find yourself in. However, the Sunny 16 rule works only if you are able to specify the lighting condition.

The results of the app is 1/3 stop different to tables.
EV 10 means 1/15s at f/8 (ISO100)
But the app result is 1/13s

**Developer response:** Hi Ra-Sti. Thanks for giving Sunny16 a try. 
It appears that the table you are using is for full stops. Try setting “Stop Increment” to “Full” in order to get the result you are looking for. The stop increment setting should match your camera.
There seems to be some debate about exposure settings in general. We follow the Sunny 16 rule. Hence the name of the app. If you subscribe to a different methodology, consider setting your exposure compensation to -1/3.

Love the app so far. For the developers wish list: how about adding the ability to configure min & max shutter speed and aperture, so users can 'customize' the app for their equipment. For example, I don't need faster than 1/1000 or f1.8.

Simple, easy to use app, and doesn't require internet or camera access

Easy access to interactive table.  Replaces a laminated chart I had.  You could always do the conversions in your head but this just helps in verification of settings.

Great replacement for the paper chart I've been carrying.  I really like being able to adjust the exposure compensation (EV).  I have a few lenses that consistently over or under exposure by a as much as a full stop. 

I do wish it went down to EV -4 to include moon/star lit exposures.
