## What is Sunova Weather?

Sunova is a weather app built on a simple promise: radical honesty and total privacy.

NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS. NO TRACKING. There is no sign-up, no subscription, no analytics, and no backend server. Your weather data flows directly from public weather APIs to your device. Location coordinates are rounded to roughly 111 meters before any request leaves your phone, and your position is never stored anywhere but on your device.

HONEST BY DESIGN Most weather apps hide missing data behind blank dashes. Sunova tells you what it knows and what it doesn't. If radar frames aren't available, you'll see a message — not an empty map. If forecast data lags behind what's actually happening outside, Sunova reconciles its current conditions against minute-by-minute nowcast data so the headline matches the sky.

HOW IT CHECKS THE FORECAST Sunova even grades itself: the Forecast Accuracy screen compares what was forecast for yesterday against what actually happened, using real historical data. When there isn't enough history yet, it says so — no fabricated scores.

FREE MEANS FREE Sunova is completely free. No premium tier, no locked features, no upsells. Weather data comes from free, open public APIs (Open-Meteo, RainViewer, NWS, Environment Canada), and the app credits every source.
