### 2/5 — Free

*2026-08-03, version 7.2.0*

Be a lot better if it were free.

### 4/5 — Easy, functional

*2026-07-26*

I am a new user and reserve the right to change my review.

Great app. I have the basic app which is all I need. If I could add one feature it would be the change in daylight from day to day, on the main page.

It is only a hobby that I keep track of daylight and of three apps this is the only one I use. Paints instantly and easy to read.,

### 3/5 — Not needed

*2026-05-13, version 6.8.0*

You can use chat GPT for this. So to pay for this app isn’t really necessary.

### 5/5 — Get!

*2026-05-01, version 6.8.0*

So helpful!

### 5/5 — Love this App!

*2026-05-01, version 6.8.0*

Love that I can pull this up anytime!

### 2/5 — Not accurate

*2026-03-30, version 6.7.0*

I'm in Jackson Hole, WY. The app says last light is at 8:09. It's currently 8:18 and it still hasn't reached last light.

### 5/5 — Seriously?

*2026-03-06, version 6.5.0*

After spending too many minutes trying to understand what I had, I threw it away. Move on to something else.

### 3/5 — Very pretty

*2026-02-02*

Looks very functional. However, when I set up a widget for a remote location (without giving access to my location) the sunrise/sunset information would not display on the Widget. It said “No Location,” yet when I reopened the app the correct location information was properly displayed. I just want to know what time the sun sets at mom’s house — it’s positively tropical there and we suffering with snow up to a tall dog’s belly.
I did close and reopen the app a couple of times but that didn’t help. Maybe the widget information is withheld/only part of the paid features package, no way to know.

**Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your review. The widgets are unfortunately designed only to work with your current location. Apple have strict privacy rules, so a location you select manually inside the app such as your Mom's house cannot be shared with the widget so those times can be displayed there. That means that the widget does need access to your current location to work. So please do use the main app to select the location of your Mom's house and the times will be correctly displayed for that location inside the app - converting timezones and all if you are connected to the internet. The app itself does not need access to your current location to work. I hope this helps.

### 5/5 — My Planner

*2025-11-18, version 6.2.0*

I’ve got this app on my front page to help me plan my night walks , to stay in the dark with my night vision equipment, it’s very easy and helpful

### 5/5 — Limiting

*2025-08-18*

As much as I love the idea, the app doesn’t work as intended. Oftentimes I view the sunset from remote areas. Without cell service, I can’t upload the photo and the app won’t let me upload it once I reach an area with service.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for your review. My app is very good at working in remote areas - it works out at sea and in extreme locations like the North and South pole and doesn't require cell service - but it doesn't have any features that allow the upload of photos. You may be using an app that is not mine. Please do contact me using the "Contact Us" option inside the app and I can help you further. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2025-06-13, version 6.2.0*

It does what is says. Clean and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Very handy

*2025-06-12*

Great for tour guides and camp leaders. You get a snapshot of all the info you need to plan each day. The app works in all remote locations, even when there’s no service.

### 5/5 — Great and useful app.

I like it a lot.

### 4/5 — Works! Just wish it had widgets.

*2025-05-31, version 6.1.0*

Accurate and useful! But I’ve been wanting an update with widget capabilities for years now. Any chance that will happen?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Limited & Extortion

*2026-09-02*

Free version is limited and the paid version is way to expensive for what it is. For that reason a 1 star rating is justified. Sorry but if you’re paying for the premium version then you’re bonkers. 🤗

I left this review over a year ago and they now respond with a narcissist sarcastic message 🤣

**Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your review! Lots of folk do love this app and are very happy to pay - have a look at the other reviews! The accuracy and data on this one is second to none. But, if it doesn't suit you? The best thing about the App Store is the amazing choice of apps, and there will be another one that meets your needs! Thanks again.

### 1/5 — No Past sun times

*2026-08-10*

The new update requires subscription to views dates in the Past just like the future very unhappy

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Yes I do keep the best features for my extremely important and precious paying customers, and viewing past dates is a feature I moved to be available just to them. My very valuable customers who pay what works out to be a very small amount of money get the very best extra features. These folk keep the other parts of the app free. I hope this helps.

### 1/5 — No option for long term Premium

*2026-06-19*

I want to be able to see future sunset sunrise times but what happens is it gets I can’t do a lifetime Payment it really sucks that way do not use if were hoping to see future Sunrise Times have a nice day

### 1/5 — Ugly

*2025-11-25, version 6.4.0*

The UI is super ugly like a computer from 1970

### 1/5 — Huge Disappointed!

*2025-10-27*

I purchased it outright in Japanese yen, but I can't use the premium features. Please fix this. Make it usable.

**Developer response:** Hello! If you have made a purchase but the premium features are not available to you, then please do start the app, visit the About tab - the last one on the bottom right, Press the Enable Premium button at the top and at the bottom of the payment screen that will pop up is a "Restore" button. Please press the "Restore" button and your previous purchase will be bought back. If you still don't see the Premium features then please do contact Apple Support who will be able to help you further.

### 1/5 — Limited & Extortion

*2025-01-07, version 6.1.0*

Free version is limited and the paid version is way to expensive for what it is. For that reason a 1 star rating is justified. Sorry but if you’re paying for the premium version then you’re bonkers. 🤗

### 1/5 — Deceiving app

*2024-03-21, version 5.1.1*

I downloaded the app because it was exactly what I was looking for, sunrise, sunset and a 15 day forecast but when I try to get that 15 day forecast, it wanted to charge me for premium account. Why do I have to pay for it if it already says I can get a 15 day forecast. I haven’t used it, but I sure would like to, without having to pay to get what they said would come with the app in the first place.

### 1/5 — There should be a one time fee

*2024-03-02*

Paying $1.99 a month isn’t worth it to see sunrise and sunsets for the whole year. The only good feature that I really like is that it tells you how many hours of daylight are left and when the first light is and the last light. It’s very disappointing for the price. As far as the equinox, you can find that on any calendar.
You have no way to preview all features it unless you pay for it. I canceled it right after.

**Developer response:** Yes indeed, I did offer a free trial but for this particular app many folk abused that privilege so I removed it. A one time fee doesn't cover costs for this app, this app is over 10 years old now and a one time fee doesn't cover that long term maintenance. I'm happy that you enjoy the free features though. Thanks for your review.

### 1/5 — My opinion

*2023-12-29, version 5.1.0*

Very limited information
Poor display
I will delete it

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2023-12-18*

This is a simple app that you shouldn’t have to pay for. The free version is ok but there has to be better out there. And the amount of money they want you to pay for the information given is obscene. They aren’t offering information that you can’t find easily a million other places and the way it’s presented doesn’t justify the cost either. If you aren’t vision impaired and you just need quick info, the free version is fine. But no way am I paying $2 a month for it.

**Developer response:** It's all good. I do offer extra information for the money, and folk are happy to pay. But if the free version is good enough for you then that is grand. Thank you for your review!

### 5/5 — Curfew

*2026-05-27*

I tell people that my car turns into a pumpkin when the sun sets. My night vision is really bad and I can’t drive. This app has been a lifesaver helping me to plan in advance when I can drive myself and when I need to leave. Most people just look at sunset times but knowing the last light is much more accurate for planning. I am very grateful.
