### 2/5 — I wish it was it

*2026-06-29, version 2.8.3*

I have ADHD and work as a founder of a healthcare company. Not every productivity system app will suit my needs. I require something reliable, bug-free, and highly mobile-friendly, considering my frequent on-the-go lifestyle.

Lately, the mobile app has been plagued with numerous bugs. For instance, planned times don’t persist, task names can’t be changed, duplicate tasks are added to the calendar, and more. Compared to alternatives like TickTick, Sunsama loses its appeal when priced at $20.00 per month and still has these issues.

Sunsama, while user-friendly, has redundant buttons that lack labels, making navigation cumbersome and not truly user-friendly.

On the other hand, I can pay around $35 for a whole year of TickTick without encountering any issues. What I appreciate about Sunsama is its intentional approach to planning and shutdown, allowing me to plan with purpose. However, this intentionality alone doesn’t justify the higher price when the app has persistent bugs.

In my opinion, I need a workhorse productivity app, not a designer one.

### 2/5 — So much potential but too clunky

*2026-05-08*

I’ve wanted an app with this functionality for awhile but this falls short on intuitiveness and fluidity. They need to really workshop the experience to justify the price tag. You can’t charge this much and not even try to compete with the fluidity of ToDoist. I know the functionality is different, but the functionality is not useful if it’s too painstaking to use. Also, why do I have to drag every single tasks to the bottom of the list when planning my day? It’s a huge pain if someone is trying to block their day in pomodoros. Just let me add it to the end! And the founder or whoever will literally send you an email every day. Like stop sending emails and fix your app!

### 3/5 — Great for desktop

*2026-03-09, version 2.2.0*

Very helpful app for the desktop version, but the phone app is still quite limited and not super easy to use. I hope they keep making improvements because I love the concept and use it on my computer all day.

### 2/5 — App performance needs work

*2026-03-04, version 2.2.0*

Sunsama is a helpful product in web, but the app performance needs a lot of work. Input latency is really bad and the app frequently drops or ignored inputs.

### 3/5 — App needs work

*2026-01-12, version 2.1.1*

The website is great. The app annoys me to no end though. Every time you put a new event on the calendar it always disappears.

### 4/5 — Love Sunsama, App Needs Work

*2026-01-01*

As a whole, Sunsama has changed my life. I’m actually productive and my ADHD feels manageable. I would recommend the product to everyone.

Only downside is the app itself. Web is beautiful and perfect, but the app is glitchy. I try and change dates and tasks just disappear. The app is definitely more limited than desktop which fine, they updated it so you can do a bit more now. But my only quip is the glitches and sometimes the app freezes up. Typically have to close out and reopen for it to all update/fix.

Oh and I wish the calendar view was like the desktop version where it auto inputs your tasks so you can see what it recommends, unless there’s a setting for that which I missed.

### 2/5 — adhd friendly… no alarm alerts reminders?

*2025-12-13, version 2.1.0*

Sincerely love the desktop app. When I do manage to use it that is. The app version I appreciate is truly minimized so you don’t do too much from this tiny screen but why have time based tasks and seemingly avoid implementing a feature to nudge me to do it? I completely forget the app on my phone and sometimes the things I meant to do because of this. Even a sound and ‘task pending’ notification that forces you to open the app and check your tasks would be better than nothing at all.

### 4/5 — Amazing product but the App Seriously Needs Help

*2025-12-08, version 2.1.0*

The desktop version is amazing. The visualization, colors, and UI are extremely helpful for visualizing my day and weeks. I use this in addition to TickTick and now my productivity game is even better. Great for those who are neurodivergent.

At the same time, I can’t believe the app is so useless. I think it’s time for the product team to add app functionality to the roadmap asap. We can’t carry around our laptops in life.

### 2/5 — App not so good

*2025-08-05, version 1.7.20*

Desktop version is great but app lags in all of the things I’ve added to my schedule. Only half of the things show & sometimes even that’s out of orders. Please fix refresh times on the apps. Sometimes it won’t even show for days & sometimes the stuff I add to my Outlook calendar doesn’t show at all even though it’s synced and working on desktop. Would love for this to work as Sunsama desktop is my life saver.

### 4/5 — Great Start- Needs more effort toward upgrading user voted requests and improving AI.

*2025-08-01*

I tried a few things before this app- one I loved but it was so buggy it was unusable. So I was looking for something new. For the price I feel they should listen to what the USERS want. They do, but there are only 2 current projected user improvements planned. There are also some things you think it should have but doesn’t in the integrations. For asana you can only import task name and due date basically- you can’t import an estimated task completion time. The greatest part though- I have yet to find a single bug. I would also like to see the AI capabilities beefed up as far as scheduling. I have set up timeboxing but it would be cool for AI to schedule my day around meetings with learning technology. I almost went with the other scheduling app that did that but there were reports of bugs in the app 🪳🪳🪳. I do think the AI that it does have is rather new? Customer service chat turnaround is acceptable.

### 5/5 — Over a year in and I still love it

*2025-05-13, version 1.7.17*

I’ve been using Sunsama for over a year and I still love it. The only way it could get any better is if there was a Google Docs integration that allowed you to create a task from Google Doc Meeting Notes, but other than that, it’s perfect!

### 5/5 — Helpful app if you work out of calendar and tasks

*2025-04-16, version 1.7.15*

Very good app, probably my #1 productivity app on my phone for work and life.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Miserable login feature

*2026-04-30, version 2.5.1*

This app practically sets you up for failure because when I attempt to revive my account, I never receive the confirmation email (tried twice with two different Gmail accounts with no success). Then I manually tried to enter an email to make an account and there’s an automated message saying I need to go to the “app website”?? to establish an account. This app IS NOT USER FRIENDLY. You’re better off getting a physical planner and handwriting your tasks. I will never use this app again.

### 1/5 — Calendar takes over 5 seconds to load

*2026-03-11, version 2.2.0*

The calendar takes forever to load, l’ve counted about 5 seconds at times. To make matters worse it often loads the previous days calendar for today. Support refused to fix this, I’ve emailed them multiple times about this

### 1/5 — Getting setup NOT ADHD Friendly

*2026-03-02, version 2.2.0*

You can ONLY get set up on a computer, not with your phone. This is extremely frustrating and by the time I get to a computer I will either not be interested or completely forget.

If it’s this difficult to get started, I can only imagine how difficult and frustrating it will be to use.

### 1/5 — Excellent Workflows, Poor Mobile Execution

*2026-02-05, version 2.1.1*

Mobile app is near unusable for task editing/addition. I just spent 5+ minutes trying to move three task around on my day, and adjusting the time. Seemingly the only interface for time changes on mobile is touch. Why on earth can I not just edit the field on the task???

Furthermore, new or resized tasks keep appearing/disappearing from the timeline? Did anybody do QA on the iOS app???? This runs as well if not worse than something spat out at a hackathon. The desktop/web app is much more useful, which makes the mobile app all the more disappointing for us subscribers.

### 1/5 — Sunsama Support email received today…

*2026-02-03, version 2.1.1*

This is the email that Sunsama sent me today…
‘Your Sunsama workspace will be deleted soon,
Your Sunsama workspace is inactive and will be deleted soon,
Your Sunsama pro subscription was cancelled on November 3rd 2025,
Your workspace and all of its data is scheduled to be deleted in 15 days,
If you'd like to keep your data, please upgrade to a pro plan.’

… that’s harsh!!… I won’t be renewing, there’s cheaper and better out there!!

### 1/5 — I don’t get it

*2025-11-20, version 2.0.2*

Way too complicated. Not very intuitive or user friendly. Stuck with a massive list every day if I didn’t do everything or the other option is it all disappears if you don’t do it. My backlog disappeared?! I’m sure the developer finds it intuitive but my brain doesn’t work like theirs. The back end settings are a mess. Takes too many steps to do basic stuff.

### 1/5 — App won’t open

*2025-09-10, version 2.0.0*

It keeps crashing

### 1/5 — Lousy onboarding

*2025-08-26, version 1.7.20*

Trying to log in with Google and it keeps asking for username and password.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-03-16, version 1.7.14*

Entering my username and password merely returns me to the login prompt. No feedback. No available faq to fix either. Simply unusable and a fail.

### 1/5 — iOS app is unusable

*2025-02-02, version 1.7.8*

I noticed that a lot of reviews are about features in the desktop app that aren't available on iOS. Well that isn't my complaint. I don't mind setting things up at my desk band using the app for quick updates.

My issue is with the fact that the app crashes every time I try to do anything with it. And worse the website forces me back to the app if I try to use chrome or safari.

Please at a minimum stop the website from forcing the mobile app to open until the bugs in the mobile app are fixed. I don't want to have to cancel and set something else up but I can't keep paying for an app that I can't use on the go.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Absolutely awesome

*2026-06-06, version 2.6.0*

This app has been life changing for me. I get more done each week than I used to in a month. I’ve been using it for years and the tech has improved greatly while still focusing on GSD. Couldn’t be better for someone looking to improve their time management and productivity.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-06-02, version 2.5.1*

I’ve tried a ton of similar apps over the years and keep coming back to Sunsama. It implements all of the features that work for my flow better than anything else.

### 5/5 — Clean and focused

*2026-05-29, version 2.5.1*

Best task manager app I’ve found; integrations are great with calendar and the flexibility helps me use it as I want and it adds a little peace and order to my hectic work schedule of changing priorities and tasks

### 5/5 — ADHD Relief

*2026-05-27*

I’ve been using Sunsama since 2021. It has been invaluable for managing time. It was so helpful that I asked my work to approve the Asana integration so that I can time block work AND personal life in one view.

FYI the DESKTOP version is where the real power is at. Although the mobile version has most of the same basic functionality, I really only view the mobile version as a task collector throughout the day. I do all scheduling, planning, and management on the desktop and it’s fantastic.

### 5/5 — The best to do app I’ve found

*2026-02-03, version 2.1.1*

I love this app because it can pull in tasks from so many apps and help me create a reasonable workday — email, Apple Reminders, Asana, Clickup, ToDoist and more. It’s gorgeous and works well on phone and desktop. Helps me stay committed to my goals. Absolutely worth the cost. The team is also always willing to listen to feedback.

### 5/5 — Delightful personal planner for founders and execs

*2025-12-09, version 2.1.0*

Love this app; have used as my personal helper in combo with asana, then ClickUp as an org wide tool. Helpful integrations and reminders.

Brings a little peace to the chaos in my head of what to do next.

### 5/5 — Perfect for ADHD and OCD

*2025-09-29*

I cannot say enough good things about this app! As someone who struggles with other planners and apps, I’ve found this one to be a perfect fit. There is so much flexibility for every type of processor. I personally prefer using my Google Calendar and tasks, but I’m sure other interfaces work well, too. The time blocking is extraordinarily helpful, as are the 'subtasks'. The different channels allow me to organize my tasks not just in my head, but in something tangible. There are very few presets, and the app is very customizable. The support team is also great. I reached out with a question, and it was answered promptly and thoroughly. For anyone who struggles with executive functioning or brain disorganization, you NEED this app. The subscription is expensive, but very much worth it. I have used dozens of planners in my academic career, and this one has been a lifesaver! I am in my 4th year of college, and I feel so regulated when I use the app. I also love the desktop-to-iPhone app interface. Having ADHD and other mental health challenges can make school planning really difficult, and this app has actually helped. Yay Sunsama!!

### 5/5 — Useful

*2025-09-16, version 2.0.1*

Been using this for sooo many years even before it was a fully fledged iOS app, the basics are what keep me paying it does it well. A simple to do list for each day, move tasks around. Helps a lot for my momentum.

### 5/5 — Hardly Functional

*2025-07-08, version 1.7.20*

I would give the Mac version of this app 5 stars, but the mobile version is terrible. It shows the wrong tasks every time I open the app and I have to force quit to get it to update. The UI feels like a website designed for desktop, not a mobile app, and I often have to tap twice to get things to register, and drag and drop often doesn’t work.

### 5/5 — Helpful, intuitive, comprehensive

*2025-07-01, version 1.7.19*

This is so easy to use and has helped me make the most of my time off work. Scheduling and keeping track are not my strong suits so this tool has been powerful for my summer .
