Zwar kann man jetzt ein paar Orte auswählen, jedoch nur zeitzonenweise - viel zu wenig. Das Definieren eigener Orte ist zu mühselig und bringt keinen Spaß. Nach wie vor zu viele Links auf die Webseite der Entwickler. Fazit: ich werde das Programm löschen. Da es so gut wie überhaupt nicht verbessert wurde, gibt es zudem einen Stern weniger. Für Version 1.x: Das Programm macht zwar das, was es laut Beschreibung verspricht, jedoch kein Quäntchen mehr. Und das ist eindeutig zu wenig. Die Bedienung ist verwirrend: klickt man auf "Set Location", wird nicht etwa ein Dialog zum eingeben einer Location angezeigt, es klappt nur eine Fläche auf, die wiederum einen "Set Location"-Knopf enthält. Erst jetzt gelangt man zu der winzigen Weltkarte, die nicht einmal gedreht werden kann. Auf dieser kann man unmöglich einen genauen Ort auswählen, allenfalls einen Kontinent. Es gibt auch keine andere Möglichkeit, einen Ort einzugeben, weder über einen Kontakt, noch über eine Städteliste oder wenigstens über die Direkteingabe von Koordinaten. Der Link zur Kartenapplikation des iPhones bringt ebenfalls rein gar nichts. Wenigstens kann die Software den aktuellen Ort verwenden, deshalb 2 statt 1 Stern. Unseriös wirken auch die vielen Links auf der Programmoberfläche zum Hersteller der Software, die sollten bei einer kostenpflichtigen Version wirklich nicht sein. Die Sprache ist, trotz des deutschen Titels, durchgängig in englisch. Ich kann derzeit von diesem Programm nur abraten, es gibt für das selbe Geld besseres. ### 1/5 — Schlechte Bedienung *2009-04-30, version 0* Das Programm lässt sich sehr schlecht bedienen. Jede zweite Klickmöglichkeit führt schlichtweg zur HP des Herstellers. Genaue Orte können fast gar nicht eingetragen werden, es sei denn man kennt die genauen Koordinaten. There is no help. Any icon you click guides you to the sales page for other apps by this company. I believe an upgrade would really make this better if other locations could be entered. Using the map link provided is useless. I have to kill the app to return from the map link as I can find no way to return to the app otherwise. If I could find some decent instructions somewhere it would be nice. I have sent the developer a message with the same info written here with no reply. So far it's been a waste of .99. ### 2/5 — Good idea, flaw in the first version that the developer could & should fix *2009-02-04* Sunset offers to tell you the time of sunrise and sunset for your location, or for any other location, for any date during the year. This is very useful for photographers and videographers and perhaps for others as well. Alas, the first version (Jan 20 ’09 release date) has a long way to go. To set a location other than the current one, you tap on a map of the world, and then tap again on the map to set the new location. (There’s no documentation to tell you that…you have to figure it out.) This is very imprecise because the map is small, although the coordinates of where you’ve tapped are displayed. Still, unless you know the coordinates of the location you want, you’re limited to setting the desired location with a very large margin of error. The program doesn’t offer a list of locations (e.g. major cities) and it doesn’t offer an opportunity to enter the longitude & latitude, although as noted above it shows that data for the spot you select. Compare it to VelaClock, another iPhone app that costs a few of dollars more. VelaClock gives you a list of cities and has a much more elegant and useful display, showing the onset and end of civil, nautical and astronomical twilight, as well at the azimuth of sunrise & sunset and moonrise/set. The one hitch with VelaClock is that to go to a date other than today you have to tap on a tiny calendar icon in the middle of the bottom strip of the screen.
