It is still the old app but every time there are updates there is some issue… this one being the worst. I cannot access the app at all!!!!!!! Now, when I try to login it accepts my username and password but after requesting the security code and entering it, the app screen reverts back to the default login requesting my username and password again. Retried on both devices numerous times without success. Website login works fine, so nothing wrong with my account. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app but still doesn’t allow me to log back in. Tried the Helpdesk but they were unable to help. Both iPhone and iPad are updated to latest Apple software version. Help!!! ### 1/5 — For technicians, not and users *2026-03-06, version 1.17.10* Absolutely hopeless for the end user. The thing that I use most is changing the charging periods and this is deeply buried in the app taking about five key strokes to get to it and then it’s presented in format taking up a huge unnecessary amount of space. They should outsource their app or create a completely separate simple app aimed at people who don’t have a degree in electrical engineering ### 2/5 — Good hardware poor app *2026-02-24, version 1.17.10* Love the inverter , works pretty well, just needs extra cooling. The app is bad when it comes to accessibility, fonts are very small and the most annoying is the sync. with the current data. You need to refresh the app few times to get actual readings. For the company like sunsynk they should do some improvements. For example I have Ecoflow system added to this and readings are constant live. ### 1/5 — More like sunsynk not-connect *2026-01-24, version 1.17.9* If I could give a negative star I would. This app is faulty more than it’s working. It’s either off or giving false values. You would think it would be a high priority app since the solar industry is a big and expensive business. It keeps saying bug fix but in reality it creates bugs. Like displaying more power in you battery than there actually is. Thats how you break Lithium batteries. Next moment it displayed the battery is almost empty when they are clearly full and start using electricity instead of my batteries. So I”m losing money too. Keep it up. I see a lawsuit coming on. ### 2/5 — Needs a simple customer interface *2025-11-08, version 1.17.6* Whilst it seems to work, it is the least user friendly app I’ve ever used. I know that there needs to be a lot of different settings available but it needs to have a really simple user friendly end user interface in front of the complexities. I want it to make it easy to manage my setup - when I want it to charge / discharge the battery, export to the grid or not. Has been designed by people who are not considering the end users needs. ### 2/5 — Just Start Over *2025-10-29, version 1.17.4* Best would be just to start from scratch with a whole new app. First get the basics right and do that well, then add the bells and whistles. Catch some ideas from SOLARMAN Smart app if you have to. Here’s to hoping Sunsynk actually listens to their unhappy customers! ### 1/5 — Consistently unreliable *2025-10-21, version 1.17.4* A well- installed system: with an app that simply doesn’t work! It gets worse- the team that used to be on call to help, have now reversed themselves behind the app:which doesn’t work! So, you can’t contact them for help. The worry is that your utilities provider doesn’t get the energy readings from your system… and no savings. I’ve spent nearly £30k on my system. Think hard before you decide to join me😳 ### 3/5 — Energy flow direction do not show *2025-10-20, version 1.17.4* It’s been 2 months I have been using the app. Initially it took time to Understand the time but going on I can see so many gaps with the user interaction, usabily and comparability. It would be easier to just walk up to the machine itself at this point to look at the charge and usage. Always seems down when the clocks change and the 1st of a month. Plus the random other offline periods. During 2024 I’d say circa 15 service interruptions. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Rubbish app and rubbish support *2026-08-16, version 1.17.15* The silly app times out after a number of uses and you have to log back in again . This is very hit and miss !! And you end up locked out of the app for days . The login button is greyed out. ### 1/5 — Good Hardware, Terrible Software *2026-07-13, version 1.17.15* This app is used to configure the Sunsynk Inverter. It uses different terms from settings in the web interface, which is almost as bad. This is one of the worst user interface designs I have ever had the misfortune to use. If you change the setting on one page it changes settings on other pages that you can’t see. Simply scheduling charge and discharge sessions requires a long, involved, and arcane process which may or may not work. Fortunately there is an independent app which is much better, Come on Sunsynk, you launch a new product every week, but you can’t deliver a decent app? ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2026-07-11, version 1.17.14* Can’t login to app. Sign in button doesn’t work. I would like to select my Grid charging schedule over weekly periods by day. For example, Monday to Sunday 00:30 to 05:00 and also on a Sunday 11:00 to 16:00. 2) I would like to discharge my battery at 21:00 to 40% every day. Currently, I am doing this manually. As an example, app gives totally incorrect grid readings. Then you are promised a solution within 48 hrs and… nothing. App is down many times! ### 5/5 — Much better than expected *2025-07-10, version 1.17.1* Before installation at the end of May 2025, I’d heard bad stories about the App being offline more than once. I understand that new servers went online a few months ago and since my system went live, the App has been reliable all the time except for yesterday when it was offline with connection issues for a few hours. A quick online call to Sunsynk support via the online web informed me that they were aware. The issue was quickly resolved and the App now working well. ### 5/5 — LATEST VERSION on iPad (1.11.9) fixes problem *2024-04-08, version 1.11.9* And finally, version 1.11.9 of 8 April 2024 has fixed the problem of the missing data flow on the iPad. This has restored my faith in the App Developers and as a consequence I am happy to give the App my 5* seal of approval. Thank you. ### 5/5 — Works as Expected *2023-07-28, version 1.9.5* Once I got the app to identify my unit it was a breeze. I can check and control the inverter and thru it the battery from my house or anywhere else I’m objected to the web. However, there were no instructions on how to get started. My installer has to help. What I would like from the app is greater functionality on looking at usage, grip power and battery draw over periods of time. There is a lot of information but key comparable dat are not easy to access. Also, I’m still new and checking what is the optimal of using the timer - again more information would have been great. ### 5/5 — Solar app *2023-07-28, version 1.9.5* I have been using this app and also the web page. It gives me all that I want from my panels. It quite useful and you can get quite a lot out of it as well some good stats. I have found Sunsynk very helpful in giving me an elevated access to put in some info. To. The forced notifications of load shedding a really useful.
