## What is Suomoto Club?

Suomoto Club is India's accessibility-first social community, built from the ground up for Blind, Low-Vision and PwBD users. Every screen is designed for VoiceOver: everything speaks, every control is reachable, and nothing is "just visual."

WHAT YOU CAN DO

- EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES: Accessible trips, courses, products and schemes posted by verified organizations. See who's registered and interested, ask questions, and get answers straight from the organizer.

- GOVERNMENT JOB ALERTS MADE FOR YOU: Exam notifications auto-synced from SuoMoto Academy with the details that matter to VI candidates: reserved VI/PwBD vacancies, scribe rules, compensatory time, deadlines and age relaxation. Ask the built-in AI assistant about any exam.

- VOICE ROOMS: Real group voice calls for study circles, music jams and trip planning. Shake your phone to mute. Two-finger double tap (Magic Tap) to hang up.

- ACCESSIBLE GAMES: UNO, Mafia and "Dhurandhar Kon?" designed for screen-reader play: spoken cards, accessible color choosers, and game lobbies that tell you who's inside before you join.

- AUDIO-FIRST FORUM: Voice-note threads, spoken replies, and AI image descriptions so photos are never a mystery.

- FRIENDS & MEET UP: Find friends by shared interests, call them in one tap, and use opt-in, time-boxed live location to meet nearby with spoken distance and direction.

- NOTIFICATIONS THAT MATTER: Interest-matched alerts for new posts and jobs, friend requests and answers - even when the app is closed.

ACCESSIBILITY IS THE PRODUCT

- Full VoiceOver support with meaningful labels and announcements
- In-app text size control that scales every screen
- Large touch targets, high-contrast dark theme, haptic feedback
- Keyboard-trap-free forms (the keyboard closes itself when you finish)
- Audio bio recording with automatic transcription at sign-up

Suomoto Club is free. Join a community that was built for you - not adapted for you.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.30 — 2026-09-08

General Studies is now reachable in Practice. If UPSC CSE Prelims is your target exam, the whole General Studies paper is there — a hundred and ninety one topics that the app could not open before. Material shared with other exams now appears under the General Studies subject it belongs to, rather than under the name of an exam you are not sitting, and each one tells you what it is shared with, so anything you finished for another exam is already done here.

Chapters are numbered by where they sit in the list you are reading. A filtered subject used to open at "Chapter 6".

When something needs credits, the refusal now leads somewhere. You can open your wallet from it, and the wallet finally accepts a sponsorship code — before, a code from an organisation could only be typed inside the very screen that was blocking you.

Starting a game no longer silences the voice room. The first sound of a game was taking the microphone and speaker away from the call, so everyone stayed connected and nobody could be heard.

Leaving a game now returns you to the game you were playing, instead of announcing a different one.

For organisations: call an applicant straight from your list, or send one message to everyone who responded. Jobs also carry real exam dates now, and vacancies recorded for each category.

The Scribe screen tells you how many academic points you still need, instead of only that you need more. The exam communication deck has been taken off that screen.

Signing in with Google now uses your phone's own account picker, with no web page to load.

Also fixed: dates of birth entered in any common format are read correctly, sessions that expire now offer a clear way to sign in again, the voice note controls on a profile can be reached, and an interest count on a post now matches the names behind it.

### 1.0.28 — 2026-09-06

Choose what the quiz asks you about. Before a round starts, pick a subject — Science and Technology, Economy and Banking, Polity and Constitution, History, Geography, Government Schemes or General Knowledge — or a mix of everything. In a voice room, whoever starts the game picks for the table, and everyone is told what it will be.

Organisations can now reach the people who responded to a post. Open who applied or who is interested, call anyone straight from their row, or send one message to everybody at once.

Dictation works again. It used to keep processing and then give up; it now waits out a busy service and tells you plainly on the rare occasion it genuinely cannot hear you.

Image descriptions no longer read punctuation aloud, and no longer invent a description when the service is unavailable — they say so instead.

New for exams: a scribe communication deck of ready-made instruction cards you can show and speak to your scribe, and speech assist in voice rooms for typing a phrase that is spoken for you.

Also fixed: an opened discussion can be liked and shared, a game invitation in your notifications now opens the game, screen reader focus no longer jumps around on the Scribe screen, and buying credits opens a payment on iPhone instead of a link that would not open.

UPSC CSE Prelims now shows both papers, previous-year questions say which year they came from, and September exam dates are up to date.

### 1.0.27 — 2026-09-02

Practice results now save every time, so your rank updates after each test.

Dictation: shake to dictate is on by default — turn it off any time in Settings. Recordings upload about four times faster, and the tone while it works is quieter instead of repeating like an alarm.

Sounds: every sound in the Academy and the games has been remade. Softer, easier to tell apart, and each one now means something by its shape rather than only its pitch.

Messages: one button in the corner — the microphone when the box is empty, Send once you type. Group chat now works the same way as direct messages.

Practice list: subtopics open and close like chapters, each test says whether you have finished it, and the Easy, Medium and Hard buttons are full width.

Your Top 10 badge now opens the leaderboard.

Also: auto mode is on by default in tests, phone verification explains what went wrong, and fixes across Housie, Uno and notifications.

### 1.0.24 — 2026-08-21

This update brings iPhone up to date with several releases at once.

Voice and audio
• Playback moved to a new audio engine, and calls now have a ringback tone so you know the phone is ringing.
• Game and Academy earcons have been re-pitched so the phone's own vibration no longer masks them.
• If your media volume is down, the app now tells you why you cannot hear anything.

Your profile
• Add a bio, a designation, and what you are studying and where.
• Save is reachable without dozens of swipes.
• Saving a bio no longer clears your location.

Messages and friends
• Messages say which day they were sent, not just a clock time.
• The chat header leads somewhere, and dictation always tells you it is listening.
• A profile completion strip on Friends, measured against the real community.
• The Friends tab no longer breaks when a request is refused.

Explore
• See who is coming to an event, and place an order for products.
• Every attendee list uses a verb that matches what it does: Register, Enrol, Book, Apply, Place order.

Academy
• Practice opens straight on the topics, with no mode to choose first.
• Mock tests come from the real question bank.

Also fixed
• Signing out now fully signs you out, so signing back in with a different method lands you in the right account.
• Shared discussions carry what was said, and a shared link opens correctly.
• Group alerts reach the whole group, and an open thread can be liked.

### 1.0.21 — 2026-08-16

Calls, chat and voice rooms are a lot clearer this time.

Calls
- A call no longer says it is connected before the other person has picked up. It tells you when it is ringing, and when they answer.
- Calls now reach a friend whose app is closed. Their phone rings.
- A call that is not answered stops ringing after 45 seconds and leaves a missed call.
- You are told whether a call was declined, unanswered, or ended.

Voice rooms
- Every room says how many people are inside before you enter it.
- Joining a room from a group now opens the call screen, instead of tucking it away.

Chat
- Reply to any message. The message you replied to is read out first, so you can follow a conversation you were not there for.
- Every message you send says whether it has been read.
- A marker shows where you left off, so you do not have to listen back to find your place.
- Shake to dictate now works as soon as you open a chat, without opening the keyboard first.

Friends
- Friends show when they were last active, instead of just Offline.

Also: alerts now say what a post actually is, so a course is announced as a course. Signing up asks for your details on one screen.
