## What is Suonote?

Meet Suonote, the focused songwriting workspace built for the moment an idea appears.

Most song ideas get scattered:
lyrics in Notes, voice memos somewhere else, chords in your head.

Suonote replaces that fragmented workflow with a single creative space where you can:

• Capture the idea instantly
• Structure it into sections (verse, chorus, bridge)
• Write chords on a visual grid
• Explore harmonic suggestions and key changes
• Write lyrics directly inside each section
• Record voice, guitar, or melody takes
• Generate quick studio-style instrument drafts
• Export MIDI, chord charts, or share the full project

Everything stays connected inside one project from the first spark to a structured musical sketch.

Whether you’re a songwriter, producer, or musician, Suonote keeps your creative flow organized and distraction-free.

Includes a Lite subset of the Arachno SoundFont by Maxime Abbey (Arachnosoft), used with permission.

### 1.5 — 2026-03-07

### 1.4 — 2026-03-07

•	Added a neutral internal octave baseline and improved instrument variant handling.
	•	Notes are now automatically clamped to the valid instrument range when variants change.
	•	Improved note generation: notes that almost fill a bar now snap to the bar boundary.
	•	Updated default settings and ranges for instruments (piano, guitar, woodwinds, mallets, etc.).
	•	UI now displays a user-facing octave value (Oct 0 = instrument’s natural octave).
	•	Adjustments in pitch editors, presets, and chord preview behavior.
	•	Improved chord suggestion heuristics and voicings.

Goal: more musical defaults, fewer out-of-range notes, and a more predictable UX when switching instrument variants.

### 1.3 — 2026-02-23

Introduce CloudSyncMonitor to observe NSPersistentCloudKitContainer events, record success/failure info (including quota detection) into UserDefaults, and expose it as an app-wide ObservableObject. Wire the monitor into SuonoteApp as an environment object. Update SyncStatusIndicator and its details sheet to read new AppStorage keys, show syncing/paused/failed states.
