The Tasks widget shows what is open and what is overdue, nearest due dates first, and each row opens that task. Both work on the lock screen. To get set up, go to You, then On your phone, then Home screen widget. Every capture is also available to Siri, the Shortcuts app, and the Action Button, and starting one from outside the app now takes you back to work already in progress rather than starting a second job.
