It works most of the time, silently and behind the scenes. Occasionally, pop-ups appear for a second or so, before being actioned automatically by SAfS. That’s the point. I really appreciate the thoughtful replies to reviews that the developer posts. It takes a lot of effort to do this and many devs do not take the time to support those having issues or suggestions. ### 4/5 — Banners are smarter; Super Agent hasn’t caught up *2026-06-08, version 4.2* Most of the good reviews of this Safari extension appear to be from long ago. I suspect that websites are now more clever about how they push their cookie banners, and Super Agent is now less effective. At this point I think it’s more effective to regularly clear your cache than have yet another extension that can read every single site you visit. UPDATE: Okay, so … the alternatives are worse. Bumping up my rating, and I’m going back to using Super Agent. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-08-16, version 4.6.2* Some one by the name of THOMAS E crockett aka Tommy is making apps like this in an attempt to steal peoples private information. ### 1/5 — A Premium Subscription for Clicking “Reject All” *2026-08-12, version 4.6.0* I stopped using Super Agent after realizing that its primary function is charging money to automate something I can already accomplish for free. Before anything else, the developers should probably inspect their automated “developer response” system. After the first few pages of recent reviews, it appears to start attaching responses to reviews they plainly do not correspond to. Nothing inspires confidence in a premium technology product quite like watching its own automated customer-response system lose track of who it is talking to. The app itself technically works. That is about the highest praise I can give it. Super Agent is essentially the archetypal subscription-era product: identify a minor annoyance, package a convenience layer around tools and protections users already have, imply that the situation is scarier and more technically complicated than it really is, and then charge people repeatedly for the privilege. Its ideal customer appears to be someone who is uncomfortable opening Safari settings, unwilling to Google “free cookie blocker Apple,” and sufficiently concerned by words like “malware,” “tracking,” and “privacy” that paying a subscription feels safer than learning what the software actually does. There is also an amusing amount of “trust us” involved for a product marketed around privacy. I’m paraphrasing the developers’ responses here, but when users raise concerns about Safari reporting that the extension can access webpage contents, the answer seems to be essentially: Apple uses scary generic wording, we don’t actually read your pages, everything happens locally, we don’t keep logs, and we don’t collect that information. Okay. Maybe all of that is completely true. The problem is that, as an ordinary user, basically none of those assurances are independently inspectable. I cannot look inside the extension and verify that it never reads anything beyond what it needs, never transmits anything unexpected, and never retains logs. So the privacy argument eventually bottoms out at: grant the extension broad access and trust the company when it tells you that the broad access is being used very responsibly. That is not evidence that the developers are secretly harvesting data. It is a reason to find the marketing posture a little funny. “Install our privacy product, grant it access to webpages, and trust our assurances about what happens afterward” is not quite the slam-dunk privacy proposition they seem to think it is. Super Agent is not standing heroically between your iPhone and the cybercriminal underworld. Safari and iOS are doing the serious security and privacy work. This app is mostly dealing with consent prompts and browser annoyances. Charging a recurring premium for that is like selling someone a subscription service that presses the “close door” button on their elevator. Then there is the lifetime purchase. The sales pitch appears to be that, given enough years of paying the expensive subscription, eventually the expensive lifetime purchase starts looking reasonable. This is a fascinating pricing strategy because the strongest argument for one overpriced option is apparently the existence of another overpriced option. It works. The app should have some basic abilities or functions with improved or more abilities when paid; thus allowing a consumer to see what they are missing by having the lowest tier of service. I’m tired of these apps and Apple not returning my money when I accidentally click on something and they charge me for it and won’t let me get a refund at all even if I do it the same day or forget to do it about my mental health disorder. That makes me forget things from time to time for months on end and weeks on end That they don’t even do it the retail way and put it on a goddamn receipt and shove it in our face or even explain it to us. This is not the first and only app and subscription service that I didn’t like and didn’t want and didn’t get a refund for. I don’t agree with any of these developers forming these goddamn policies or doing any of this stuff at all and I think customers need to start reviewing these apps, harshly reviewing them and that’s why I gave you a one.
