The app calculates age by years, months, and days. I use it for toddlers and does it's job. Swipe right to left at the bottom and you get the age in months, then days. I like the swipe feature for test date; it saves me time. Click on the "birthday cake" or "calendar" icons to input dates like in prior app. The only addition would be to highlight the clicking on birthday cake and calendar icons at the beginning. Especially for those that are used to our old ways! ### 3/5 — Speech Therapist *2018-10-25, version 2.8* This app worked great my last school year. I just tried to use it today 10/25/18 and it shuts down immediately after opening. I can’t get the birthdate in before it closes down. Loved the app to find chronological age. Can you make it work again? ### 3/5 — Steep Learning Curve *2018-10-22* Well, it's good, but not better than before. It looks cool, but it's not intuitive. Sliding days and years is quite silly and frustrating. Once you discover that trick, this app is okay. It's definitely not user friendly for busy SLPs. Sadly, I've decided to delete this app and go with something easier to use. ### 2/5 — Bad layout *2014-08-21* I like what this app does but I hate the layout. You have to scroll through each month, date, year to make a selection. It takes quite a bit of time. The old version was better where you could select from a drop down menu. It made me want to estimate how long I would live into the future and then I got all introspective and deep about the fleeting nature of human life itself. Great app, please add more features down to the hr:min:seconds and then I will gladly give it 5 stars... Also I think being able to manually type in the dates is a must. But the format of having to scroll through the large icons on the calendar is not very fast. It takes FOREVER to swipe left through all of the days and year options. I tried to use it for 10 minutes and then deleted ### 1/5 — Wrong calculations *2019-08-19* Nice interface, but the age calculates incorrectly on days that have to be “borrowed.” The calculator should only be adding 30 days; however, it appears to be adding 31. This is an issue for any school psychologist that needs chrono age for assessments. ### 1/5 — Wrong by 2 days!! *2019-04-11* This app, shockingly, calculates incorrectly!! Off by 2 days. Could believe it but got online and checked it against the Pearson chronological age calculator and confirmed it by hand. What should be easy is unintuitive, it took a solid few minutes to even figure out how to use its basic features. Horrid, glitchy user experience - who thought vertical scrolling for feature panes was a good idea? Scrolling from years and years ago to get to a typical toddler birth year. When adjusting day, often causes month to change on its own. Takes forever to swipe to actual DOB. Often misalignments cause incorrect chronological age calculations, which are not always caught immediately. Takes FOREVER to select date of birth and current date by swiping your finger for each rather than typing them in or selecting from a larger calendar. New layout is not intuitive or user friendly. I believe those users didn't know how to access all the features. Many alternative features are easy to access with a tap on the calendar or cake or with a swipe up or over. It's so easy.... Super Duper, you should show the features on a startup page after someone updates or gets the app. Seems like I should get a cut from this.. You're welcome! The update for this app is awesome! I can scroll through the dates or I can drop down to quickly change it. I can review old entries. I can view the age quickly and in months. I am so happy about this app now.. OT Testing is already a bear so I don't want to have to think about the little things like this. They do it for you.
